This establishment is a great case study in reusing existing infrastructure from a prior project It is truly a hidden gem!!! Situated at the previous venue for the Winter Olympics, part of the ski hills have been refurbished into a Downhill Karting circuit. Pro Tip 1: Look thru their website in advance to purchase online packages (many of the family tickets comes with a free digital photo, which you normally have to pay for separately) Pro Tip 2: Do not toss your safety helmet yet when you're done!!! There's a scan code on your helmet that is used to retrieve the photos of you speeding down the track taken by the on track mounted cameras. The whole circuit sequence was perfect: From fitting your safety helmet, to riding the conveyor to the top of the hill, getting your cart checked out, to returning your cart at the bottom of the hill, and then going again (there's no way you're going to go just once and not feel the yearning to want to go again!) One run is good - but not enough. Two is better - but still not enough. Three is pretty good. I bet four would be better. Also - be sure to get a burger from the WinSport cafeteria. read more

Excellent place to take your family and to really bring out the competition. The karting is very fun and you can take it any pace you want. If you feel like becoming a nascar driver you can or you can be that old person you get stuck behind while driving. Got coupons to do it so wasn't too worried about the price. read more

We did the Summer Adrenaline combo last week, and loved the Bobsleigh, zip-line and luge carts! We got good footage with a GoPro, so you may want to bring yours with the attachment to slide into the mounts already on some bobsleigh helmets. We thought the intense 80 second ride with a competitive bobsledder was thrilling, although it's hard to see much when shaking at that speed. The zip-line goes down over the ski jump and is very fast! I think we used a head strap for the GoPro there. We released small parachutes to help slow down, but they're testing a new magnetic brake for future runs. And, of course, my favorite was the luge ride, where I could steer carefully down the mountain at a sensible speed, ignoring all those speed demons passing me on the track. Overall, it's an easy stop with plenty of action, especially for daring kids. read more

This was awesome!!! We live in Southern California and have something much smaller and similar in our local mountains. This was so much fun. The weather was great. We had lots of fun at this place! First, I was surprised that it was reasonable - $23/pp for 3 rides, which was enough for us. Second comment - I would hate to go when it's busy. People travel at different speeds down the hill and it was annoying to be stuck behind slow people or people who couldn't drive well, but also to be passed on all sides in what felt like an unsafe manor, and with mostly kids driving it made me nervous. It was much better when we were spread out from the crowds and didn't encounter so many people. Third - leave your purse in the car. I was able to put mine between my legs but I wished I didn't bring it with me. Or use a backpack for your stuff. Carts are easy to ride, any conscientious small child could even drive by themselves. They do lots of safety checks before you barrel down the mountain, too. And you can go as fast or slow as you want because you're totally in control. Ticket booth is at the base of the ski lift (that's how you get up the hill), signage in parking lot is good. read more

Very fun!! I definitely recommend buying at least the 3 ride pass, once is not enough! Go early before it gets too busy so you don't end up jamming your breaks every turn because of slow pokes. read more

Tremendous fun! Buy at least 3 rides. Very neat concept. Take a chair lift up to the top and ride motorless karts downhill. And they do go fast... 50km/hr for sure. You can use the brakes to go slow. The track is super fun with tight turns. I went 3 times and never got bored. read more

Ride takes 15 mins. Super fun and they feel a lot faster than they look! Fun for all ages. They let kids ride by themselves but honestly it goes pretty fast, lol. Not sure I'd let my kid ride alone under 5 or 6. read more

This was a lot of fun! Once you finish paying you put on a helmet and then you go up the gondola to the top of the hill to begin your journey down the tracks. The service was great except for one little douche who was rude. Apparently missed the memo about the safety protocol to get in the karts. We were supposed to go over a dinky little bridge to the other side in order to get on the carts but it really made no difference. All he had to do was correct us but he's like "no go back and read the signs." It was our first time I don't know why he had to be such a clown. The speed of the karts are really up to your own personal discretion but surprisingly it goes pretty fast. They have a few obstacles and turns which added to the excitement. It's safe for all ages. I went twice in a group of 6, each costing $16. I would recommend going 2-3 times and go with a group so it works out cheaper. Otherwise it would be $15/ride. Definitely recommend it! read more

We went there last weekend and I must say that if you visit Calgary, never fail to try this awesome place. We tried the lift and ride all the way down was quite exciting. My five year old daughter enjoyed it as much as I do. Prices are reasonable And I can do it all over again. Next time we will try to go biking there, The trails looks challenging and exciting. My wife and I had a blast on the luge. I recommend you get the three ride ticket. First time down there is a brief training which is understandable and required. They supply a helmet. I had a clip on GoPro which worked great. You MUST keep both hands on handles coming down or you will CRASH so don't try using your cell phone on the way down. Three trips ran about $18 each and took about an hour and a half. Was the highlight of the day, so don't quibble just go! read more

Kids enjoy it alot, I personally got tired after the second ride. Having said that I will share my personal experience. I was coming down on one of the luge and it was bumping a lot. I told the guy at the end of the trail who collects and send it up again that the luge doesn't work properly and it should be checked . He said to me that he will look into it and the next thing which I saw was that it was going up the hill for someone else to ride. It means that though they make sure each luge brakes and handle is working, safety measures ends there. At the end of the rides, I ordered pictures, don't waste money on them. As some cameras work and some don't so you won't get all the pictures. Secondly they send out pictures with the compnay logo, which to me seem unnecessary and too loud on the pictures. Had I known that I will be getting such pictures, I won't have spent money on it. While I was talking to the customer service guy about this photographs business, I could hear him giggling. It seems that he enjoyed my displeasure about their logo. Bad customer service. Update: I contaced the company over email and they provided me with the pictures without the logo. I am thankful to them for doing that. read more

Super fun and exciting! Kids loved it, and now I want to try too! The only thing bad thing I have to say is that the line was agonizingly long and took about 40 minutes to get through. This is a lot of fun- a great family activity or the perfect date! Definitely worth checking out at least once!:) Probably not great for people with back issues as the luge cars vibrate on the track when you start going fast, but SO much fun! This is really fun. There is a luge. The track is 1.8km long. It can go fast or slow. You decide. You also can go for a zipline. It is suteble for a person that is higher than 120cm. Had a great time. They had a "family option" which was nice - you buy a number of rides and you decide how to distribute among family members. Was helpful for us as our scaredy cat 10yo girl did not want to go a second time and our 9yo boy could not get enough of it. Mom enjoyed a couple rides and son and dad did 3 or so each.
