The seating area is comfy and has views of the winery and where they make the wine. Totally cool out door seating that was full but not so close that you feel tight. The wine was nice and my cousin gets to pick as she knows more about me in regards to wine and I trust her choices. She is like my sister so I trust her. We both liked what we got and what we got to taste. Overall we both Liked Rubino and we would go again. Highly recommend visit if you like a nice intimate place, beautiful sights and awesome wine.

We reserved an indoor spot, which was indicated to have no time limit. We were having a wonderful time relaxing, enjoying a wine bundle special we purchased, and sharing a charcuterie board. However, our experience was ruined when a host approached our table and asked if we were close to leaving because there was a long waitlist. Several other tables had arrived before us, yet none of them were approached. This treatment felt unfair and left a very bad taste in my mouth. After many years of enjoying my membership, this experience has made me seriously consider canceling it. Please be better.

This is a quaint little farm in San Ramon that's open to the public (free). We came here with a…read moretoddler, who was a bit frighten by the animals at first, but eventually warmed up to them. They are all very gentle and just roaming around in their enclosed area. There is a horse, sheep, lamb, a goat, and some chickens. This is not a petting zoo. We came here on a Saturday and ran into the couple that runs the farm. They were eager to tell us all about the farm, its history, and current events happening at the farm. (Almost) every Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. there is a free event, such as art with corn, ice cream making, rug weaving etc. See their website for schedule of events. They also have a tractor museum with many tractors restored by volunteers. Because we had a toddler with us, we had to cut our visit short and didn't get to check out the gift shop and the tour of the Victorian house (tours Saturdays at 12:00 pm and 1pm). We brought a picnic lunch and sat at one of several picnic tables scattered throughout the farm. It was a fun and educational outing, and we'll probably come back again.

This also coincides with their farmer's market. I came here last Thursday to catch "Pop Fiction", a cover band. I arrived at 5:40 PM, 20 minutes before the concert, so I walked around to check out the farmer's market. There are food trucks, fruits, veggies, seafood, pastries, and lots more. The concert is at the Amphitheater, which has a couple tiers of lawn area. Early birds take up the back section and set up their tents and tables. We had a few folder chairs, and brought our own food for a little picnic. "Pop Fiction" was high energy and did a good job with songs from the '70's to today. They were a little pitchy at times, but everyone was just having a good time. As the evening progressed, more people came up front to dance or sway. There's no shade on the lawn, so definitely bring sunscreen and hats. The park itself is huge, but I didn't have time to check it all out. We enjoyed the concert and picnic. We'll probably be back for another one before the summer is done.

Found this park by accident and I'm so glad I stopped to check it out!…read more I did a hike on Castleridge trail and drove by this park on my way out. Small park but it's filled with the history of Pleasanton! This is a historical landmark and you can visit the last remaining adobe house in California. The adobe house was the first to be built in Pleasanton and the tenant family farmers actually lived there back in 1898 to 1917. The house was very unique with a family room, bedrooms, kitchen and dining area. Everything was furnished as it would have been in the 1920s so that was pretty neat to see. The community park also included a replica of Meadowlark Dairy. Worth a visit if you are in town or after a long hike! Plenty of parking available and it's free so definitely stop by.

Wow what a treasure in Pleasanton!…read more The city of Pleasanton invested a ton of time and money to restore this 1859 adobe and make it safe for visitors. They have done one fantastic job! They have several charts that show the progression of the Adobe over time. In 1854, when it was first built, it was actually quite small with only three rooms. Then there was an extra area added, and eventually it sort of merged with the small northern adobe. Besides the Adobe building itself, you can go into the visitor center, where a nice docent will take your kids on little hikes and nature walks. There's tons of other information inside that building. I especially like the information and the photos about the Meadowlark Dairy operation. While you're here, your kids can try roping the calf, or even milking a real cow. Well okay, it's not a real cow, and it's water instead of milk, but you get the idea. A lot of fun for kids of all ages. It's located on Old Foothill Road. Easy to get to. I had no problem whatsoever with parking. Has a drinking fountain and clean restrooms with baby changing tables as well.

"Ziplining Adventure but hardly any Alligators or Volcanoes"…read more This is a new park, with extensive lawns and beautiful landscaping. It's a large park with a lot of amenities, including a large kids playground. Of course, they have the usual swings, and a large play structure that kids can climb in. If you want to have a picnic, there are many BBQs as well as picnic tables. This park would make a delightful location for a birthday party or celebration. The best feature is a kids zipline. It works fantastic. When was the last time you saw a zipline in a park? I've always wanted to do a zipline. In travel magazines I read about tourists zip-lining over volcanoes or alligators or sharks. It sounds so exciting! Anyway, this zip line is just like those other ones, except there are no alligators or volcanoes. The city of Dublin has almost no volcanoes. A father was kind enough to have his son demonstrate it for me. The line is a little slanted--it works just like a real zipline! They also have a tennis court as well as a volleyball lot. Both are well-maintained and look brand new. There's a beautiful metal sculpture in the center of the park. "It's called Diamonds In The Wind." The park is named after Dublin resident, Army Staff Sergeant Sean Diamond, who was killed while serving in Iraq in 2009. Bravo, Bravo! This is one of those more attractive parks in the city of Dublin. I just wish they had a zip line for adults. Maybe it would work for me if I just pulled up my legs...

This freeway goes from Sunol to Concord. There are much worse freeways out there and this is…read moreprobably one of the better ones. It goes through a lot of the nicer cities like Danville and the like. There has been some construction in the past and right now there isn't any. The improvements I think are done. Traffic is the biggest problem here. Its terrible like it is in any bay area freeway. Try to avoid driving it during the worst hours. If you have an option to eat dinner after work and drive later - maybe do that. Find a gym next to work and kill an extra hour that way. You've been looking a little soft around the middle these days anyway. Potholes are not that bad on this stretch. Road quality is good overall. I'm not sure how some freeways can be better than others. Isn't the same standard supposed to be applied no matter the city?!

I saw one home that wasn't all decked out, but the homes that participated were festive and full of holiday spirit. It was a much better view, as I took my time walking and taking in the sights and sounds of Christmas. One home had a holiday movie projecting from their front porch, the house at the end of the lane had their usually holiday figure cut outs, not my favorite but I'm sure the kids loved. This town tradition may be small but it's full of cheer each year. The tradition has been going strong since "1955". Till next year...
