First time as a patient, and this is a 5 star office! I waited no more than 5-10 minutes, and the staff was terrific. Dr. Holmes was very thorough, and made sure I understood my prescription clearly; It is an unusual prescription and made zero sense to me...she took the time to be sure I was following what she was describing instead of rushing me through the process. ALSO...Love that this office offers the retina scan as opposed to having your eyes dilated. This is so much more convenient when the appointment is in the middle of a work day. Professional, kind and fast. This downtown business is super convenient to get to, and they validate parking in a designated parking garage. I saw Dr. Vandervoort for an eye exam and contact fitting. It's been years since I've been in for an eye appointment anywhere and she was able to recommend daily contacts that work great for me. read more

As a professional photographer my eyes are very important to me. Dr. Holmes understands that and even though my astigmatism is very slight, she has gone the extra mile to take care of my eyes. She has taken the time to address my concerns about consistent high eye pressure and stayed on me to make sure I got the proper tests done. Every doctor for the last 5 years has suggested the tests in passing, but Dr. Holmes made sure that I went and had the test done. Everything turned out fine and now I have a baseline to judge from in the future. On top of that, she has a great demeanor and clearly enjoys her work. The glasses she carries are upscale and still affordable. Her office is in a great location and is welcoming and inviting. And no one ever messes with my eyes except her. I love Downtown Tulsa Eyecare. Taking time off during the workday for appointments is always difficult with my busy work schedule and I really appreciate that Downtown Tulsa Eyecare pretty much ALWAYS runs on time. I've never had to wait beyond my scheduled appointment time and they are always prompt and efficient through my appointment. The optometrists are great at their job and fun to talk to. The rest of the staff is equally as awesome and helpful. They have a great selection of glasses and are helpful in guiding you to pick the right frame, lenses, etc. I love Downtown Tulsa Eyecare and, especially if you work downtown, they are super convenient. read more

Everyone who works at DTE is very friendly, helpful, and courteous. Dr. Julie Holmes and Dr. Kristin Vandervoort are very professional yet easy to talk to...and they get right to business, which I like. I set aside 1.5 hours for the appointment and it only took an hour...and part of that was me looking at new prescription glasses. I work downtown, and their location is very convenient. I always recommend DTE to someone who asks if I know about a good optometrist...especially to others who work downtown as well. Plus they have the small things that count, like bottled water, coffee, mints, etc. It's always a good experience when I go there. read more

You will not find a better establishment! Everyone there is beyond kind! I made an appointment over the phone and all of my questions were answered before I said anything! So nice to have staff so knowledgeable that if someone calls (who isn't so knowledgeable) they are able to clarify any and all questions. Dr. Holmes is amazing! The staff is also amazing! I really don't have any other word for it! They were friendly and explained every machine and what was going to happen. Went through different options of glasses and helped me pick the perfect pair! Gone are the days when your doctor actually spends time with you, follows up with you, and genuinely cares about your health. Not the case at Downtown Tulsa Eyecare. Dr. Holmes has a great practice and gave the most thorough eye exam I've ever had. I will never again chance my health to the cattle markets like Zoellner, Eyemart, or any other place at the mall. Dr. Holmes even called me personally after 2 weeks to make sure my glasses and contacts were working correctly. Nice touch. I recommend to anyone downtown that they check her out. Phenomenal experience at Downtown Tulsa Eyecare. Extremely helpful staff when booking an appointment. I was able to fill out the new patient paperwork days before my appointment, which saved time when arriving at the office. My appointment was scheduled for 8:45, but I arrived ten minutes early and was taken back right away. I saw Dr. Vandervoort for an eye exam and new glasses. She was wonderful - very kind, efficient, and extremely professional. Their selection of frames is excellent, and the technician assisting me was great. I typically like to browse around myself and find the assistance annoying, but she was actually very helpful and selected some great options for me to choose from. I was able to submit my insurance information beforehand, so the payment process was quick, easy, and painless. I was in and out in less than an hour.
