The eye doctor was nice. Extremely rude and incapable receptionist. Made an appointment and waited over a month only to show up and find they had no record of the appointment I made. The receptionist tried to convince me I must have made the appointment somewhere else or imagined the specific date and time. After I sifted through my call log I was able to prove I called. The eye doctor made it right and gave me the appointment. The receptionist that supposedly never spoke to me before failed to mention they no longer take my insurance. The doctor made an exception and sent my prescription to some bottom of the barrel lab and now I have been told it will be a 4 MONTH wait on the glasses!!! Terrible way to do business and unacceptable wait time to be able to see again. read more

AVOID COMING HERE AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT WEEKS LONGER THAN TOLD FOR YOUR GLASSES ONLY TO HAVE THE EXTRAS YOU PAID HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR FALL APART WITHIN WEEKS AND THEN GET DISRESPECTED BY THE SORRIEST, MOST MISERABLE EXCUSE FOR AN OFFICE MANAGER AND STILL NOT HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED. The optometrist and some of the people who work for are lovely but if the lab and the person responsible for customer service are garbage, why bother? Dr. SCOLARO on Burton Drive saw us way quicker, our glasses came in a week EARLY, and everyone that worked there was lovely.UPDATE: it took almost a month for my glasses to be ready. A month of only having glasses with a old Rx and only 1 arm despite being legally blind and paying hundreds for a quality product! Yet those old glasses were far less scratched than the couple weeks of my $300 scratch proof lenses (too bad they wouldn't stay on straight!). So now it's been 6 months since I got them back, and they are already peeling and scratched to shot again! It's too the point where it dangerously reflects, impairs and obstructs my vision. They should still be under the one year warranty, but after how I was treated last time, I know it's hopeless no matter how much I sent. I will however, keep trying to contact the doctor so she knows how her office manager is, and how lovely and deserving the other people she has working for are! OLD:This review is solely on the office manager. Last year when I got new glasses I spent ~$300 extra for SCRATCH-RESISTANT, lightweight, anti-reflective lenses. Within 3 weeks I had numerous large & small scratches & coatings were peeling off, which I've never had before. When I called they said I have a 1 yr warranty, but I'd have no glasses while they're fixed. I'm legally blind without them & need to be able to see so I put it off! They just got worse, so I left several messages asking to please keep them while new lenses were made. The office manager left a message that I couldn't keep them but the warranty was ending and I'd lose my chance. When I brought them in she had awful attitude right off the bat. She was defensive as if we'd already been arguing when I didn't have an attitude yet at all. She said I picked a bad time to come in because a pipe had burst & the office was gonna be closed for repairs, so I'd have to wait extra weeks for repairs, or lose the warranty. It wasn't the lab that couldn't fix them sooner, it's because they weren't gonna be in the office! Really? No one can stop by just to get deliveries or have them sent elsewhere? There is no excuse for this, the waiting area was fine and I'd be happy to get them delivered directly to me. Another employee had told me the repair would be the usual 2 weeks (which always takes longer already) and she basically called her a liar, then admitted this was only in certain circumstances. She rudely told me a lot of clients were upset about the delays, and couldn't muster up an ounce of sympathy or apologies for my situation. This put me on the defensive and completely changed the tone of how our interaction played out. It was clear to me she just wasn't gonna lift a finger to help me and seemed she enjoyed taking her frustrations out on me via power trip, because there is no logical or justifiable reason for her INSTANT attitude. I mean, here I am telling her I paid what to me is a small fortune for top of the line lenses that instantly started deteriorating worse than all my old (free) glasses ever did after years of use! I have a medical condition that makes things like driving without glasses not just dangerous but illegal and working next to impossible. This isn't like I bought a ripped shirt or sour milk, this is a serious medical issue, hence having to see a doctor! I told her I didn't appreciate her attitude to which she responded with a snotty "I'm sorry you feel that way" and told me I was lucky she was even still talking to me and she could refuse to do anything and leave me with the defective lenses. There were numerous things she could've said & done to help me or at least pretend that she was interested in helping me. I still can't figure out why they couldn't be bothered to ask the lab to let me keep my old glasses while they replaced them since it was THEIR fault, not mine, or be bothered to find SOMETHING that could be arranged while the office was closed. She now refuses let me be seen or to even let my 13 year old daughter be seen after years of being patients. read more

i've been going there around sometime 2009/2010 to present. this place take my insurance which is anthem/blue/partnership/medicare. i only get charge for transitional lenses only was not aware how much insurance covers. i only get services for long distance no for reading. this doctor been charching my insurance for both. this time i went 2023 as usually was charge around $80 to $86 for transitional lenses for years and this time i don't really know what happen but got back arouns $34 to $36 so was only charge $50.00 was told they have been making charges for readind/far sited, instead of far sited. optometrist knew very well what type of services i wanted. i should of request all my money back for all this years i've been charge from this place. the female doctor/owner is not too friendly rather reserve. i ask her 1 question recently can't recall what it was but she said something like "oh'' you have work on the past. i think she is a discrimatory optometrist who take advantage low income clients. she gives me the impression she is tuff and a bitch on wheels. read more

made an appt the same day. the dr referred me on to an optometrist and called me later that day to make sure i got an appt with kaiser. when she found out i still didnt receive a call back, she called kaiser on a back line and got me an appt right away.. really above and beyond! she didnt need to follow up with me or hound kaiser for me. would return! everyone was very nice as well :D read more

The office manager is horrible and rude she will tell you 1 thing over the phone and then change her story when you arrive and make you drive home blind or pay out of pocket for a mistake they OBVIOUSLY made!!! Buyer beware there customer service is below sub par.... i feel trapped because they have already been paid by my insurance and refuse to tell me how long a refund to my insurance will take....Bought glasses waited a week for them to arrive and received defective lenses i called them and was told "if u bring back and let us send in the glasses we will cover it 100% or i can just order new lenses only thing is if they come and dont fit it will be a EXTRA FEE... note fee.....took them back that afternoon and was told if i just ordered lenses and disnt send back my glasses and the new lenses didnt fit i was responsible for buying new lenses that did fit and that my issue was with my insurance....my insurance they didnt mess up the glasses the lab did .... how is it my fault the lab you chose messed up?? Why am i without glasses for another week because your company or a company you do business with messed up?? Lets just say both my son and i have glasses and we will NEVER return..... honestly if the office "manager" wasn't so rude and unapologetic i wouldn't of had much issue but her first questioning me and the other employee even seeing the defect and then her "to bad so sad" attitude with me .....shes rude snd not good for business... read more
