I…read morerecently moved to the area and went to several churches in the area which simply did not sit right with me in word or atmosphere. I went to a coffee shop at the Fountains working while I sat outside. My attention was peaked when I overheard two woman nearby speaking about thier faith and I resonated with what they were saying so much that I had to ask them what church they went to as I was currently looking for a new home church. They happily invited me to sit down with them and get to know them briefly as they told me about their church. Then I tried their church at Bayside Adventure. I didn't tell them I was going as I didn't want special expectedness. I went wanting to see the real people involved at Bayside & I was genuinely, tentatively impressed with such a warm, compassionate filled presence. I love that I'm not attending a rock concert in the dark! I love that the pastoral team actively encourages you week to week to follow along in your own Bible, not just expecting you to passively listen to them. I will say, you receive what you put out, if you want to get connected- connections are easily made. If you want to keep to yourself, no intrusion is put upon you. Ive been attending, skipped a couple weeks and each time returning to happy faces that genuinely seem happy to see me and continue to be welcoming. I highly recommend this church, the children's ministry is a huge part of this church too, welcoming families, singles, empty nesters, seniors, men, and women. I would easily say there's something for everyone.

That did not happen: Bayside leaders messed up big time - they did not say a prayer for Charlie Kirk's family or at least have a moment of silence to honor his memory - I left sad and heartbroken... My friends said even Catholic Churches recognized Charlie. Bayside worship leader and pastor did nothing to honor a great Christian who was martyred - I watched the memorial service on YouTube and was so touched... I haven't been to church for awhile, so the visit was truly disappointing- from worship being a performance (overly loud music, lights and video on side screens focused on drummer, etc), this was clearly not about Jesus. Too many inconsistencies in pastor's message, from saying there's true evil in this world and then saying that it's also in all of our hearts: speak for yourself dude... Pastor even joked that he was giving a Ted talk - yeah, it felt like rehearsed speech that he's getting paid for, I didn't trust his words like I believed Charlie Kirk; being a young man trying to find God - I was quite disappointed, didn't feel like this church cares about me.. At one point the pastor said that we're all selfish and our circle of friends are people who like us: does he want us to surround ourselves with people who hate us? Besides few welcoming faces at the entrance- no one came up to chat or cared enough to pray for me. I won't be back and can't recommend this church. I'm sure some churches actually practice what they preach- but not bayside leaders - they are woke liberals, as I'm sure many members are here... From 2005-2020, I served/volunteered and donated a lot of time and $$ to Bayside - no pastor ever recognized my service and donations(even Ray Johnston or Kurt Harlow whom I met) and I came to realize that this liberal mega-church business model is focused on raising $$, not care about people - it's truly a disappointing and heartbreaking experience. The Saturday services time is at 5 pm. Worship time is amazing especially when Dylan sings; his voice is beautiful . All the pastors are great; pastor Rodney, Lance, Brian and Heather and Judah all give wonderful sermons. The other pastors too give and deliver amazing messages. Easter service is my favorite; quick tip; come To Easter service early because the place fills up super fast. The members of this church are all so happy; it's easy to feel their energy and enthusiasm. Bridgeway also offers a variety of classes, conducts baptisms and has fun events too like Trick or Trunk night for Halloween. Come to this church; you won't regret it, you'll love it!!

If you are looking for coffee before service starts, it's available in the front lobby. Inside the sanctuary, there are plenty of seats that are angled to allow a good view of the stage. The pastor and staff are all so friendly and are quick to greet you with a smile and a warm handshake when you walk into church. Service starts on time with the worship/singing time. It lasts for about 30 minutes. The worship team is awesome with guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. The music is good but I think that maybe worship time is a bit long. The pastor's sermon is good and it seems like for some people, if a sermon goes too long, that becomes a dealbreaker. I don't mind long sermons if the message is good and easy to listen to. I don't have a problem with the length of the sermon. All told, it was about 1 hour 15 minutes from start to end of the service. What I do notice is that a lot of people show up late, after service has started. For me, I always get to church before service starts because I don't want to be that guy that walks in late. I guess, better late than never when it comes to going to church, right? I really don't have anything bad to say. It's a nice church to go to and we're still debating on whether we want to call this church home. Definitely one of the better churches that we've attended on a regular basis.

Plus during the transition periods between pastors only the "in cliques" knew what was happening behind the scenes and they left the congregation in the dark, very akward to say the least. We pray and hope that the Rock has changed, but also have learned that people are human and if it isn't the place for you then move on! Some times it's sad when the church doesn't realize they have the wrong people in certain positions who are not best for the overall body- because I will say there are authentic people there, but I think they get drowned out by the people who are louder. We wish we had family there but again, very clique and just feels like highschool again, and why? It's supposed to be a church.

Being completely ignored in a moment like that was extremely disappointing and not what we expected from a church community. I was heavily involved at Bayside Church from 2015 to 2019. I attended Sunday services every week,…read morejoined a small group, and regularly went to Thursday night 18.25 gatherings. At first, I thought this place was about genuine faith and community, but over time, I saw behind the curtain. Pastor Ray Johnston is constantly bragging about his massive home in Granite Bay. It became clear that donations weren't supporting the community or Christ-centered outreach, they were going toward funding this man's lavish lifestyle. It felt less like a church and more like a business funneling money to a celebrity pastor. Beyond that, Bayside has always leaned political, especially when it comes to pushing conservative ideologies, including stances against women's rights and the LGBTQ+ community. They preach culture war talking points more than the Gospel. And let's talk about the services, they're basically rock concerts with lights, smoke machines, and polished performances. It's a production, not a place of worship. It became clear to me that this was a mega-church more focused on image, money, and influence than on Jesus. If you're looking for authentic, Christ-like community and teachings rooted in humility, look elsewhere. I haven't stepped foot in Bayside in years, and I never will again.
