He and his son worked 1/2 the day then he had his wife and daughter help with cleanup. During the 5 hour job they worked efficiently, however I was charged over $1000.00 an hour. Yes, David charged me $5500.00 for 5 hours of work. Shame on me for not waiting on the other estimates and shame on this company for taking advantage of a customer who was eager to have a job done. I asked what substantiated the price and no explaination could really be given, only that some companies charge $12k for work.

This involved emptying an old shed, dismantling the structure, and hauling away most all the contents and the building debris. I say "most all", because the building did contain some items a few family members wished to preserve. It was quite humbling to witness the care with which Jason and his wife treated Dad's belongings. To them, it wasn't just an old house filled with a bunch of junk. It was over half-a-century of memories being given new life. While most of what they pulled out had to be taken to the dump, there was some material that could be salvaged and repurposed. That's something I know my father - who obviously could never throw anything away :-) - would certainly have appreciated. Jason will be my first and only call whenever such a need arises in the future.
