The entire process was remarkable in that, unlike others, Dave kept his appointments on schedule. He personally inspected the roof and delivered a review of his proposal in tremendous detail. He has a warehouse with all of the material he needed for my roof, so no excuses about shipping delays, cost escalations or backorders. He promised a mid May installation and actually came a week early. He even got the building permit from the Town, which some other contractors seem to forget. His crew was well-prepared, setting up tarps to keep the old roofing out of the shrubs and lawn, got the entire roof (36 squares) done by around 4:00 pm. Clean up was impeccable. New gutters were installed a few days later by very knowledgeable craftsmen who made some upgrades that were much appreciated. The estimate process was pretty smooth and we had a quote within the week. They walked us through the materials they would use - which were very good quality windows and doors - and we chose the specifics to fit our home. We waited a few weeks for installation, but they managed to fit us in even with very cold weather. The installation itself was more than just swapping out existing windows and doors - we actually had them cut out holes in the house for a new window and new exterior door. They did a good job with this work and everything was sealed and insulated very well. My only gripe was that some of the finish work (casings, sills, etc.) wasn't up to our expectations. When we brought this up to them, they immediately agreed to make it right and sent another person out. They did a relatively good job cleaning up and disposing of waste, and the laborers were friendly. Overall, we were satisfied and ended up using them for a second job, which we were happy with as well. They aren't the cheapest out there, but they aren't the most expensive, either. I suspect that some of the additional cost is because they properly estimate and manage the projects. There were no extra costs as we went through the work, and they handled all the permitting with the city.
