Lousy attitude at front desk. Won't lift a finger to even make a phone call to a referring doctor if they have a question

My physician utilizes this business ( wish he didn't) There is nothing positive to say. I have probably had six MRI there. Scheduling is a pain. Leave messages, no call back.. Have had to return for another MRI because the quality of the first test was inferior. The office is old and tired ; like their equipment. So I was referred to this place by my chiropractor for an MRI to see what soft tissue I had incurred from a car accident.  But what I wasn't informed of is this place is a sleazy shakedown operation, that has two faces. One side if you're paying cash, and another if they are billing your PIP insurance. If you are paying cash the MRI is $280, but if you are billing your insurance they "claim" you signed forms( the forms you filled out before you do the MRI) which allows them to charge 20% of your total insurance coverage for a 30 minute MRI scan that costs $280. So I open a letter from them today saying I owe them $1800.00 for a 30 minute MRI scan lol, the form said my insurance only paid them $200 odd dollars.  After calling them, and being put on hold and transferred to about 4 times lol I finally reach someone in their "corporate billing department" located in Texas, and they state that the billing statement I received is a mistake and it's less than that. They also go on to state that they bill the whole amount to the insurance company, and I need not worry about it. read more

I was in and out of their facility in 15 minutes. The staff was friendly, they were organized and most importantly they were right on time. I don't recall ever having a smoother experience in an imaging center and though I hope I don't ever need imaging again I will try to go exclusively to this place! read more

Called at 1:30 pm and made a same day appointment for a double MRI at the Oakland Park Location. Because they have late hours (by appt) they were able to accommodate my last minute request that same evening at 7 pm. Check in was a breeze and they took me in with only about a five minute wait. The tech was professional, helpful and I couldn't have had a better experience!! I honestly don't understand the poor reviews but if wait time is a problem, try an evening appt! It's the way to go! read more

DO NOT - I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - AT ANY COST. They are nothing more than a bush-league faux medical center. They have had to reschedule my appointment 3 different times because the technician was NOT available - suddenly. THIS irony after they claim to only do them on certain days. AND, on those certain days they cancelled. Try calling to reschedule - you will be on hold for 20 minutes or more. Twice the held call was disconnected and said - please try your call later. Thief alert !!! DPI Diagnostic sent me to a collection agency. Let me explain, November 2014 - After seeing my urologist Dr. Robert Sherman, I was prescribed MRI with contrast. Since that I didn't have insurance back then, Dr. Sherman suggested DPI Diagnostic as they were affordable and MRI with contrast should cost $425 without insurance as his knowledge. Dr. Sherman had his secretary call DPI Diagnostic to see how much this specific procedure cost and answer was as Dr. Sherman remember. $425. After we left Dr. Sherman's office, we called DPI Diagnostic to get an appointment. While we got appointment set, we confirmed one more time over the phone that this procedure - MRI with Contrast will cost us $425. When my wife and I arrived to our appointment, we provided our referral document from Dr. Sherman which clearly indicated that I needed MRI with contrast. I was told that our balance was $425 which we paid in full. Late in March 2016, I received a notice in the mail saying that I have been sent to a collection agency since I have $135 balance due to DPI Diagnostic Professionals. First I called DPI Diagnostic but they weren't able to locate my files as it was sent to the collection agency. I called the collection agency to dispute and provided payment receipts of $425 which was the cost of the MRI with contrast without insurance. Explained that they wouldn't even get it done if they didn't receive the payment before the service. I thought they were going to see what was going on and make it right. I got a call 2 days ago - April 12 2016 from the collection agency with a blocked number. There was a lady over the phone telling me that DPI Diagnostic responded to my dispute and I owe them $135 for the contrast injection which was on top of $425. I tried to explain myself that I had no reason to not to pay $135 on top the $425 at the day of the service if I was told about to additional cost ( prescription was for MRI with contrast anyway) Lady said that she wasn't there and she can't tell me anything. She continues: they sent a notice to the address they have in file and since you moved from that address It's possible that you didn't receive it. I have 30 days to fix this before it messes up my credit score as she says. I have questions to ask and I will not let this go before exposing them. If I need to go the news papers will do it gladly. So, if they weren't able to reach me via mail, why didn't they call ? As I paid my bill in full at the day of the service provided, why do I need to worry about letting them know about my relocation ? If they weren't able to reach my current address all these years, how come now ? Is it even legal to ask someone to pay you later for something that you weren't informed at the day of the service ? How would you feel if you receive a bill from a restaurant you visited almost 2 years back saying that, ohhhh so you owe us $150 for the extra dressing ? Or as a photographer, If I sent you a bill for additional $135 for the image processing fee almost 2 years later without mentioning anything to you ? I am going to do anything in my power to expose this scam. It's conveniently disgusting to bill your previous client with knowing that they won't go thru all the process to hunt you down but pay the little extra for something that you made up afterwards. At the end, what do i have as a choice ? Either pay the bill or get huge damage to my credit score. Theives! I was sent here in June 2014, nearly two years ago for an MRI of my foot. I have excellent insurance and offered to pay my copay immediately upon arrival for my MRI. Even though I had provided DPI my insurance information days (possibly more than a week) in advance so they could get the authorization and schedule my appt, on the day of my MRI the office had not looked up my copay information; the receptionist told me I did not have to pay anything right away. She said if I am responsible for anything I would receive a bill in the mail. I NEVER received a bill in the mail or any telephonic communications from DPI. I recently checked my credit for an apartment application and discovered this thieving company sent me directly to collections without ever notifying me! When I called today, they said they sent bills and notices to my address and they called the number they had for me, but I changed them which is why I probably did not receive any correspondence. BULL SHIT! I only recently moved in 2016 and I STILL maintain my prior address as my mailing address (and have for the passed 17 years!). I also have never changed my phone number! What liars! When I explained this to their billing department, the rep completely refused to listen and said it was MY fault and that THEIR records demonstrated that the post office returned the correspondence as undeliverable. However, when I asked her to tell me the address DPI sent the correspondence to, she was unable to do so. She was also unable to provide me with the phone number DPI used when they "tried" to call me. Seriously... There is no reason why she would not be able to tell me the address DPI sent the "correspondence" or the "phone number" they called. This company is just crap! I told her to send me an explanation of benefits and an itemized statement. I will verify with my insurance regarding this debt. I don't trust the amount they are stating I owe. I also have reservations about their collection agency, since it has also failed to notify me of this debt! I will be informing my podiatrist and GI of this company so they can refrain from recommending DPI. In the future, I will stick with getting MRIs at Broward Health and Memorial. read more

Today went there for a MRI. Came by transit on a gourney - because my back/spine/disks are in trouble; and I can't walk without extreme pain. They did a 20 minute MRI. Jerry, the person who administered the MRI was very nice; and explained everything. I was hoping their tube/ machine would be open so I wouldn't be close or feel closed in. It wasn't, but I was fine. 20 minutes later it's over. She burned two cd's so I can bring them to various medical people. All the staff seemed helpful. read more

Went in this morning to get a a chest x-ray for a preoperative check-up. I scheduled my appointment yesterday morning and I was shocked that they were available that same day for imaging. When I arrived today there was no line and my forms were processed rapidly and seamlessly. My radiologist was a gentleman who introduced himself as AJ that had me in and out in 15 minutes if that. I highly recommend this location for imaging services if it is covered by your insurance. read more

The wait can be really long. They do tell you what days you can do certain procedures. also they are open on Saturday which helps if you work full time or just have crazy work times. This place is close to my job which is the reason why I come here. read more

Every time I telephone DPI, you cannot get through. Whether it is to make an appointment or follow-up on something, my frustration level goes through the roof! If you have to check on something, they NEVER answer the phone. You can only leave a message and then, they usually do not call back. The disrespect they exhibit towards their clients is horrendous. I am sincerely upset seen their rating being lower than a four. This place is awesome. Staff is great. I had an appointment schedule within 2 days, it was at night (8:00 pm), went in exactly at my scheduled time and I was happy to see how a tardy patient was denied service, because was not there on time and I was in there waiting first and would have come in late. Terrible management. Been waiting over an hour, with an appointment, with no other patients. One person walks in and they take him almost immediately. I couldn't be more irritated. Had to go back here for an emergency. After getting there and having an appointment, I was taken very late and then the person performing the scan didn't even know what the scan entailed. After explaining at length what was needed, and having the tech call the absent radiologist everything seemed like it would go okay. However, after having my doctor review the images and report he said it was tantamount to garbage. The images were awful and instead of looking for what the prescription sought, dpi only looked for a blood clot which I was not even at risk for. My doctor tried having his own radiologist review the images but said the scan was done so poorly that it was worthless. I know the old adage applies "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me" well shame on me for having to go back but please let my mistake teach everyone not to go here. I will be filing a complaint with the licensing board and seeking a refund. In the end, I had to delay a very important operation and miss a few days of work that I would not have had to if the scan was done correctly read more

WRONG DIAGNOSTIC! Stay away this place is a scam all the way!! Went there for an MRI of cervical they "find" a node on my thyroid, they ask me to get an ultrasound on thyroid done, I did ($$$) From that, they told me to to do an Fine needle aspiration on my thyroid, I make the appointment on the hospital ( apparently the only place to get this type of exam done ) , when I get there, I got check by an radiologist and a doctor the perform on me an ultrasson prior the exam and guess what?? They find NOTHING! Was no NODE on my thyroid so was no reason for the exam, ( the exam could not be performed because was nothing there ) sure enough my hospital bill for the exam is $800 , an exam that was not performed because was no node on my thyroid!!! So, be very careful if you have an exam done in this facility!! I called the manager for an explanation, and he told me that that's is how his radiologist read the exam that day... SURE...and the node miraculously disappeared is 3 days?! They read wrong, and they don't care, so be careful and find a different place to get your exams done!not mentioning that very unorganized schedule and long wait! read more

My doctor faxed over prescription for CT Scan on Thursday afternoon. I gave DPI until mid morning Friday to respond to make my appointment. Hearing nothing, I re-faxed the script over to them by 11 am. Hearing nothing still, I called their office at 3:30 pm. I was on hold for 10 minutes with the message: "We are experiencing high call volumes." That is not MY problem and I really need this CT Scan. My doctor suggested using DPI against my better wishes. Now, I will be letting her know on Monday that I will get my CT Scan at Holy Cross. This is the 2nd less than desirable experience with them. The first was with their hours of operation on their website which did not coincide with what the office hours actually were. Hence, I made a trip there to find the employees all leaving at 5:00 pm. ******* Awful. They charged my credit card hundreds of dollars as a "hold" until my insurance pays. My insurance paid them and lo and behold, I'm having a hell of a time getting my money back. Called their billing number, placed on hold for 20 min, finally got through, and of course, they're moving offices so everything's delayed so call back next week. Okay, called back next week, after being put on hold for 20 min to talk to the next agent, they dropped my call and sent me to voicemail. Called again, got connected after another 20 min, gave my info to an agent, even emailed her my EOB and told her my credit card # as requested, was assured the refund would be within the week... one month later and still haven't got my money back. Calling them back now, called the billing number, the number is disconnected. Called the main office, got transferred to another number, got put on hold for an agent for 20 min, then once i was next in line... my call got dropped and sent to voicemail... THE ****. Now on hold AGAIN as caller #8 for the next agent. Oh, don't bother leaving a number to be "called back" - it's another story but THEY DO NOT CALL BACK. Update: on hold for 15 min before being directed to voicemail again. AVOID AT ALL COST. read more

Not sure what the other bad reviews are from but I just left DPI for extensive X-Rays. The girls at the front were great, very friendly and communicated everything with me that I needed to do. The x-Ray technician was also great. She was nice and quick. My appointment was at 4, I was in the room at 4:03 and done by 4:35. Even when I called to make the appointment whoever answered was extremely patient and thorough. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend this location. read more

Very bad service, place always seems to have you arrive a half hour early and I have had 5 separate appoiments to try and get the same test, each time they have some excuse for running several hours late, or there micha one broke, this company doesn't have the commen respect to even call you to tell you the machine broke, they wait for you to take off work drive in sit down for half hour and come up and then tell you it's been broke for day, On fifth vist I requested I be the first test When the opned so there would not be any delays , 815 am was there first apt and again delayed for 2 half hours, DPI will be set in my phone as a reminder "DO NOT USE ". Overall, this place did the job. I found the reservation process simple. I was thrilled that I was able to get a Saturday appointment within a few days of calling. The check-in process was easy. The only huge downside was the wait. After check-in, they had me waiting for an hour. The technician was professional and everything else was really just fine. Obviously the wait really stunk but I think a 3 star is fair based on all things considered. read more

WORSE SERVICE EVER! They wrongly diagnosed me with thyroid nodules requesting for a STAT ultrasound to be done. I requested on my first visit for my private medical insurance to be billed and they did not do so. They billed my automobile insurance and when I called them to correct this they stated "TOO BAD" you signed the form. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!! read more

Miserable customer service. Never made it into the MRI/CT. Showed up on time. Receptionist claimed my Appointment was 2 hours earlier for MRI, Couldn't get me in for CT. Was completely rude about the screw up - no apology, just flippant! Stay away from this place! read more

Appointment times not honored. If you need a CD of your imaging (and received one already), they charge $25. Outrageous when Holy Cross Hospital charges nothing. Also when leaving a message on their voicemail my call was NEVER returned. I will never use them again. read more

I had an appointment for a chest xray, I arrived on time and sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes after my appointment time. I was then called up and told that the xray machine was broken and that I would have to come back another day. I find this totally unacceptable and irresponsible. They had my phone number and the reason I was coming in. There were 3 people in the waiting room and it should have been clear why I was there. As a healthcare professional myself, I had to cancel my own clients for this waste of time. There are plenty of options out there for diagnostic imaging - chose another. Update 2 days later: I returned to DPI today to get my xray. I was approached by the COO, Marketing Manager, and Site Manager who apologized for my inconvenience two days ago. They stated the xray machine had just broken down when I arrived and it took 30 minutes to determine it wouldn't be up that day. I still feel that this could have been handled differently but I do appreciate senior staff acknowledging the issue and trying to rectify it. They took this very seriously which to me indicates a commitment to providing quality care. read more

Awful. First, the good. The people who work there seem very friendly. Unfortunately, congeniality and incompetence and are not mutually exclusive. I arrived for my 8:15 AM appointment, was greeted cordially, signed in, and sat in the waiting room. For the next 45 minutes I heard no less than three people arrive for scheduled appointments which had been changed at the last minute unilaterally by DPI. Finally, I asked how much longer my wait would be. I was told that my appointment was not until 9:00, and I would be seen soon. I explained my appt was at 8:15. She explained that someone called and left a message unilaterally changing the time to 9:00 yesterday. A. I received no such message. B. It clearly states on THEIR form that if a patient needs to change his appointment time the patient must give 48 hours notice. How in the hell is that even remotely fair and/or professional??? No respect whatsoever for the time of their patients. None. read more

DPI also know as Diagnostic Professionals INC is disgusting! The employees were disgusting and rude! They treat people like they are stupid. I was asking questions for information to fill out the paperwork properly. Ever question I asked was given a wrong answer by the DPI employee. The people there handling the paper work don't know what they are doing. PLUS THERE WAS OTHER PEOPLE'S PAPERWORK IN FRONT OF ME. I COULD HAVE READ VERY PRIVATE AND IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF I HAD WANTED TO, WHICH I DID NOT! I EVEN SAW FORMS WITH THE NAMES AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS SPREAD OUT ON THE CHECK IN DESK. When I went in a few days ago for my appt which I was on time for and they weren't. There were small bugs walking around in a bunch of different areas of the floor in the waiting room. So I watched bugs for 55 min until they got their act together. The chairs in the waiting room were dirty and sticky. I can only imagine what I sat on... I went into the bathroom. The bathroom was very dirty. The toilet did not work correctly. It looked like it had not been cleaned in days. There were things that I should not have seen on the floor, walls and on/in the toilet. The sink was gross. The MRI room smelled bad and was disgusting. I have some kind of bite marks on my skin from where the sheet was on me from when I was in the MRI. The blanket they gave me to use had various colors and textures of body hair embedded in it. None were mine. The blanket they gave me looked and smelled like it had not been cleaned in many days. The head set they gave me to use was oily. It smelled like BO. It looked like it had not been cleaned in days. Plus, it looked unsafe with cuts in the ear padding. The wire looked bad, too. It was all twisted and looked frayed. The next waiting room after the MRI was done I waited in was better only because of there being no bugs but the chairs were in the same condition - dirty and sticky! The parking lot has bad lighting. It seems very unsafe there. I was afraid to go back to my car. I had been to this location a month prior. It was almost as bad then. I figured that day that it was just a busy day. Now I know it is normal there to be disgusting. There are other MRI facility's in immediate area. I have made my next appt a different company on Commercial BLVD. Anything has to be better than the MRI facility located on Oakland Park BLVD by the Home Depot. read more
