The parking lot is quite large for about 25 cars. There is no WiFi. The main dining room was very clean. I did not check out the other room. Iceburg features burgers, fries, onion rings, etc,... milkshakes, floats, smoothies and LOTS of ice cream desserts from single cone to banana splits and ice cream bars made with CHAPMAN'S Ice Cream! YES! The first time I've seen Chapman's since I left Ontario! I had the signature Iceburg burger combo that included a hamburger with a very generous size and well cooked all beef patty, lettuce, tomato, pickles, fried onions, cheese and sauce on a sesame seed bun. It beats ANY of the fast food chain burgers HANDS DOWN! The burger was hand made and the ingredients FRESH! The combo also included any canned beverage and small fries...ummm their small is larger than any of the fast food chain large fries and they were fresh cut potatoes, not from frozen. I don't eat fries often however these were excellent. I'll get them again! The combo cost me $16.75 taxes in, now less money than the fast food chains for a similar large burger. They also have lots of extras and sides incluing onion rings although I thought the rings were a little expensive - $7.95 for small. The service was excellent. My order was processed lightning fast and I waited about 10 minutes for my order. That seems like a long time, however, for such high quality food, I'd wait longer! It's no wonder the locals patronize this place so much. It may be out of the way however for the high food quality and service, it's MORE than worth the drive to the south west end of Winkler.

I'll admit, the burger portion isn't the biggest, but it was certainly quality over quantity in terms of its juiciness. Their lemonade though, oh my goodness it was delicious, and it was definitely squeezed with fresh lemons. The outdoor seating can get infested with flies, which is something you'll have to live with if eating at those bench tables. I have not been in any McDonald's in over 3 yrs. A few nights ago I decided I wanted something…read moredifferent and went in. Frankly, I'm not a big fan of the Golden Arches. The food was well cooked and very good, it has not changed since I was last in a McD's. In other words, they are known for consistancy. I dined in and ordered at a kiosk mainly because ALL of the staff were Asian and none of them had a good grasp of the English language. I'm not being racist, I'm calling it the way I see it. I stood behind someone before going to the kiosk and he had to repeat his order 5x for them to understand AND it took 3 McD's staff standing there to try to understand him! I placed my order without issues, walked over to the pickup counter and it was ready in about 4 minutes. That was very efficient although I also got caught in the language barrier. First there were four staff very close to the counter and they all ignored me. Eventually I had to call out loudly for assistance. A manager came over and I said that the kiosk app did not allow me to order extra onion, could they do that? I had to repeat myself twice. He said that could be done. Before he came over he was speaking an Indian language to all of the back staff and when he finished with me he went back to that language. I have no issues with other languages, however, it's not one of Canada's official languages. I really don't understand why they must communicate in their own language AND why they must speak so fast and loud. Anyway, service was fast, food was good, the restaurant was very clean and a young man was mopping the floors when I was there. I even found a clean table which seems to be rare for most fast food restaurants. I would go back to this McD's, although not often only because it's not really on my list of favorite places overall. SIDEBAR: Isn't it hillarious all of the one star reviews here that the reviewers only have 1 review? In other words, they only review this McD's. All of these one star reviews are hack jobs to discredit this store, but of course, Yelp doesn't see it, their algorithms and AI don't see it. Go figure. In my opinion, the REAL average score for this establishment is closer to a 4. When is Yelp going to REMOVE the one review hack reviews AND more important why do they continue to have an average score based on scores from when the business was first listed. There are very old reviews. It's not fair for any business to have an average based on reviews more than 1 year old.
