We were lucky enough to get back to back appointments within 24 hours, however I would recommend blocking an appointment as soon as possible to get a timing convenient for you. The clinic is on the 5th floor of the building. (There is a lift) The reception area also sells some travel necessities like bug repellant, water purifying mechanisms etc. (Essential for countries with vaccination requirements) We are already kitted out, so I'm not sure about pricing vis-a-vis Boots etc. The nurse who saw us was friendly, polite and efficient. Appointments were at 15 minute intervals, but since we were a couple she took us in together and we were done in 20 minutes. Since we had already filled in the forms online, she just quickly ran through the vaccination requirements and recommended preventive medicines for the countries we were traveling to. Before giving us our shots. Quite an efficient system. Expensive (when compared to other countries we have for our shots at) but I guess that's the going rate in the UK.

I have worked with Dr. Gerlis for decades and his clinical astuteness--his ability to "connect the…read moredots" so that the patient understands the biology of their presenting complaint--is a wonderful gift to any patient. At the same time he builds up a "developing history" of the patient (over years) revealing underlying somatic patterns that are hugely important in making not only differential diagnoses but in providing clinical advice or referral. Knowing that one can email such a person and hear back within an hour (usually it is within 15 minutes) is healing in itself and leads both doctor and patient to come to reasoned and thoughtful decisions during a time that might be stressful. And it is fine that a clinic now offers in person drop in appointments. A model from the 1960's (when drop in's began) which is now revived and renewed in the 21st century. Great stuff.

The doctor assured me that my infection wasn't pneumonia and did not recommend any antibiotics - unlike every other doctor I have ever been to who has been prescription happy. She told me to just take hot water with lemon, honey and ginger. My kind of doctors. My husband has been here for checkups and minor ailments. The doctors have always been happy to help and when he specifically requested recommendations to a specialist, the ones they recommended have also been very professional and efficient.

She would come into the hospital with a small urine infection, otherwise okay in herself, and then weeks later, still there with delerium and it did not get bette,r till I got her back home. Care for her in this hospital ,was not always what I would have liked for my elderly loved one. I was her full-time carer and managing her syptoms well in her home. We tried to avoid the hospital ,because so many times , mum actually got worse in there. She would go in for one thing, urine infection, pace maker and weeks later still stuck there suffering with delerium. During july 2023 we had to give in , and take her down with chronic hypoxia symptoms. Quickly dispelled from resus, she was admitted in with a urine infection and after a week almost sent home without treating the Hypoxia. I so wish I had just taken her home but I was trying to help her get the seizures sorted out. She begged me to take her home as the staff were tipping her up and down in the bed and her stats were all over the place. Her time was up after a month and They sent her to a care home against her and my will, and in the care home they were woefully inept at managing her symptoms and at some point she started to a point of no return. Left in the bed on her own, fed food lying down ,when she had a hiatus hernia. She was physically sick and never could eat or drink again. Admitted back into A and E. The stroke unit refused to see her, and she had a massive stroke,whilst being injected with fluids. I saw it all happening, and it was as if she was being excecuted. The drs on the ward that day surrounded me, and stopped me being with her in her last breaths. They asked, what did your mother come in for originally? They were clearly frightened. So I now have ptsd from that day. Questions-why did the hospital send my mother to a care home who couldnt look after her? Why did the nurses on the ward not manage her hypoxia better? I am quite happy to blame Watford hospital but I blame myself more for sending her to you.

I was quite shocked, as I have been living in the UK for so many years now and this is the first time that this has happened to me. I believe that the fact that I am not originally English gave them the right to assume that I did not have any knowledge of the English language and that I required an interpreter during my visit. I would also like to point out that I did actually graduated in Interpreting and Translation myself in my home country and I honestly find such behaviour from the hospital staff quite concerning and offensive. The doctor who visited me was also incredibly rude and patronising; when I refused to take off my clothes as she asked me, as I only wanted some of my body parts to be examined during the visit, she kept making nasty remarks and wasn't even paying attention to what I was saying. In the end the doctor told me I was "free to escape" (using these exact words), which I found totally inappropriate. After this bad experience, I genuinely hope I will never come across that doctor again.

I have been recommended to Harley Street Health Centre by one of my colleagues. So I booked an appointment with Dr Abood. The consult lasted an hour, and included a chat about my symptoms, when they occur, ear & nose check, blood pressure and also had blood taken. Personally, even though I am in my mid 30's,I am really scarred of the needle, but the nurse was amazing. She distracted me by keeping my mind busy chatting, while she was drawing blood. Offered me water & advised to wait for couple of minutes before I leave. The whole experience was 5*. No rushing or looking at you like you are crazy because your palms & sole is itching at night, weirdly enough. So the next day I got my results. It was not as bad as I thought. Iron & Vitamin D deficiency. Something that can be fixed easily. So glad I went to the clinic, as my nose bleeds and itchyness have been haunting me for years. I am now taking my supplements & feeling much better. Will have another blood test done probably in 3-4 months.

She was also very skilled at giving the jabs, and they hardly hurt at all (if you think this is a ridiculous thing to say, you've never had the unfortunate experience of being given a jab from a less skilled nurse). She answered all my questions and arranged the next visit for the next round of shots. Maybe it's silly to be impressed by this level of service, which one might just "expect," but I found this to be a wholly pleasant experience doing something that I otherwise don't really enjoy.

And with no memory of the intervening period. Friends and relatives had been scouring London for him. After finding him the police were very helpful and recommended St Charles MHCAS. Thank goodness! They were/are brilliant!!! Apart from physical checks to make sure nothing really awful had happened to him , they reconstructed his persona, got him centred, calmed him down, and after a few more days he looks like restarting at the Art School. The nurse practitioner I saw scolded me for not having a better handle of my asthma and insinuated that the asthma care I told her that I got from my at home doc was a lie and didn't make sense. I am 100% open to understanding new treatment method, I obviously don't want live in pain. However to scold me in the process is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful when ur patience's is already ill and in a new country. She sent me away with no medication and I am now going on my 4th day with body aches, cough and sinus issue.
