Not long after that, I started going to Dr. Lyos (at his location in the Woodlands) for these treatments. As the years passed, and my areas of concern changed, I'd ask Dr. Lyos for his opinion on addressing these new areas. If you haven't met him yet, you need to understand a little about Dr. Lyos. He's professional, reserved, and he won't recommend or support any treatment that won't give you the results you're hoping for. (And, more importantly, he'll politely inform you if your expectations are in need of a reset.) Moreover, he's not a plastic surgeon who's keen on completely overhauling the way you look--so, if you're going in hoping to **subtly** enhance your lips, or get rid of your wrinkles, you won't have to worry about coming out looking like Kylie Jenner, or like someone's pulling your whole scalp back. I had been to several surgeons in NYC, but hadn't found one that really clicked with me. I met Dr. McHugh's wife in NY and we instantly got along. When I mentioned that I was looking for a surgeon, she insisted that I send some pictures to her husband so he could do a remote diagnosis. After he looked at my pictures, he was able to determine what needed to be done and put together a plan that really made sense. He explained everything very carefully and answered all of my questions. I had forgotten the size of my old implants, so when I actually had my surgery, Dr. McHugh arranged for the implant company to be present in the operating room so they could use the right size - they must have had 20 different sizes right there - can't ask for better service than that! When I came out of surgery, his wife had even gone to the pharmacy and gotten all of my medication while I was still in the OR and given it to my husband so that we didn't need to find a local pharmacy. As an out of town patient, it really made me feel special and that I made the right choice in going all the way to Houston from NYC. As part of the followup, they set up a lymphatic massage which really helped with the swelling and pain the next day. They also provided special post-surgery support bras that are much more comfortable than a regular support or sports bra. Thanks to all of this extra effort and followups on Day 2 and Day 3, I was actually able to return to work after just five days of recovery! One of the best things I like about the whole experience was that Dr. Hugh partners with a local hospital for all the surgical procedures so that in case there are complications, you are already in the hospital and not stuck in an out patient facility needing an ambulance. The hospital also follows up separately and even called me several times after I got back to NY to see if I was doing ok. Both Dr. McHugh and the hospital staff are excellent and I highly recommend them to everyone!
