I was being treated by one of the doctors there when the prescription they gave me may be nauseated…read moreso she told me to stop taking it and come back into the office and see her. When I came into my next appointment, Dr. Riviera was there instead of the other doctor and she looked at me as if confused why I was there. She asked me what she could do for me. I was dumbfounded. Now they charge me $150 fee for I'm not sure, what five minutes of their time? I will never ever go back there again. Their office staff is immature and unprofessional. They gossip and make fun of the patients as they sit in the waiting room. They have absolutely no shame at all. Terrible experience overall.

I have a severe autoimmune condition that really needs a physician's attention, but the staff said I could only see a PA. Ok, fine, at least I would be a patient at the practice and could maybe see the doctor next time. I saw the PA and it was a nightmare. She spent the entire appointment typing, didn't do any kind of exam (I was sitting in the chair next to her the whole time) and I don't think even looked up at me once. She then hastily told me she thought I had a disease that I do not have, ordered labs, and then never communicated the abnormalities to me when I returned for a follow up visit. She brushed off a few very obvious abnormalities and prescribed a strong medication for--again--a disease another actual physician rheumatologist confirmed I don't have, and was completely unaware that a previous infusion medication I had been given has ongoing effects on bloodwork. e.g., masking some results. So I don't know about the doctor here, but the PA I saw did not seem knowledgeable about rheumatology in the least. Maybe seeing Dr. Rivera is better, I am unsure since I never saw her. I asked the PA if she had reviewed my case with Dr. Rivera and she said yes, so I don't know if the whole practice is bad, or just the PA's. Also--the office is up a couple of flights of stairs, with no elevator. They don't mention that when you make an appointment. And that can be really hard for people with rheumatologic issues. So overall, they don't seem to provide solid care or diagnostic help.

He asked me lots of questions, ordered a couple of tests and took his time during the initial examination, indicating to me that he genuinely wanted to help and get to the bottom of what was causing my pain. His office staff on the other hand really needs to work on being more professional. The overweight gentleman that does the x-rays seems rude and impatient. This gentleman and the ladies at the front desk loudly discuss patient information which I believe is a violation of the HIPAA. If I witnessed this on my first visit it's most likely a regular occurrence. My experience with the staff really left a bad taste in my mouth because their disregard for the patient's well-being was so blatant. I know they see slow, elderly patients such as myself all day every day, but a little compassion and respect goes a long way. When we are in pain and visit our doctors to have tests done, we feel vulnerable and worried. We just want to get these things over with and find out what's wrong. All we want is some patience and compassion.

I have hit a snag or two with this young arrogant fellow. If it wasn't for him, my review would be a 5 star rating. I love the staff and doctor. They are so helpful and understanding. They make you feel right at home. The doctors bedside manner is next to none. Real funny guy and always has a smile. Very eager to help you and genuinely concerned about your pain. Always trending with newest medications on the market. I look forward to my next doctor visit every time. I enjoy this office so much that I recommended it to my Dad and now, he is a patient of Dr. Kellers and is also recommending this office to his friends as well. They really care about thier patients and thier well bieng. Keep up the great work San Diego Arthritis Medical Center!

However, I took a leap of faith and found Dr Ramona via my insurance portal. I called the office and they said they would prioritize me due to my pregnancy. Never have I ever thought I'd have a health issue that requires me to see a endocrinologist in my 20s. But things happen, and I was lucky enough to have been diagnosed early in my pregnancy. Dr Ramona's visits are all via telephone( thank goodness) and her assistants were able to work with my busy schedule, which I greatly appreciate. I have dealt with many different staff members and dr Ramona herself. Everyone treated me with professionalism and respect. They assured me everything was going to be okay and sure enough, one month of taking the medication Dr Ramona proscribed, my levels went down and I felt so much better, despite the articles I've read online. Everyone is so organized and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone that needs to see a endocrinologist.

I was told by my rheumatologist that a fax was sent over and I need to call the endocrinologist and make an appointment. I call and Delia answers and says, "why are you being referred? The whole day went by and I didn't receive a call. Today I call an hour before they close and she asked my name. She then started yelling at me that she received my fax but I need to give her time and she will call me sometime next week. If a Dr is okay with having this jerk work with her patients then she isn't worth going to. This one tops the list of all time worst service and rude people ever.
