So be prepared when scheduling an appointment to only be able to do so in French. The doctor I had originally been recommended to see had since retired I had found out, and the practice was left solely in the hands of this one doctor. The doctor was very friendly and while English is not her native language, we understood each other perfectly. She was able to diagnose my concerns and prescribe me with some topical treatments that immediately helped. I would not hesitate to go back to her. She was very knowledgeable.

I see her as my general doctor, but she also specializes in endocrinology, so I was able to see one doctor for both things. She is an English speaking doctor, and the receptionist in person speaks English. I have tried calling to make appointments, and as I am learning French that has become easier, but on the phone they only took appointments in French. I have found this is common for the receptionists even in clinics that have English speaking doctors. The staff is all very friendly, and the clinic is clean. I recommend Dr. Rags to any of my friends in the Geneva area. She used to practice in the US before moving to Switzerland for family.

Finally, after several different people provided me with strong recommendations for this doctor, I made an appointment. The first bonus is that most of the office staff speaks some English, even on the phone. I think this was the first doctor appointment in Switzerland that I was able to make an appointment half in French and half in English. The office is located near the Geneva train station and is in a really cool space. It is not directly located on the street. You go through a door on the main street, and then walk through a courtyard with a fountain, and then into another building and on the first floor to the left is the entrance to the office. After waiting for a few minutes, the doctor came and greeted me with a smile and led me back to the office. The space is very clean and bright. He was knowledgeable, listened very well to my concerns and past medical history, and very clearly was able to explain everything to me. You are provided a place to change and a given a robe. Overall as far as these type of visits go everything was as expected. It is great to have finally found an English speaking doctor that I can trust.

As my insurance doesn't cover fully until a year after my initial exam, I have been waiting to go back to him for additional services. I was quite surprised when I walked into his office. The equipment was the newest dental equipment I have seen, even compared to the dentist offices I have seen in the US. There is also a nice view from the large glass windows. Once again, the challenge here is that the office staff doesn't speak English, but they do in person. So for booking appointments, if you aren't comfortable doing so in French, I walk by the office at lunch time, and make my appointments. Dr. Sabev was very friendly, informative, and I look forward to my next visit.

If you want contacts or glasses then you would see Dr. Thierry Perroud. Both of these doctors were fantastic. Both speak English, but Dr. Jean Corne is fluent. The clinic is modern and clean. The staff is very friendly. Both doctors are very funny, and were very pleasant to meet with. The office staff here once again don't speak English on the phone to make appointments, but they do in person.

A bit disappointing…read more I was initially misinformed by the secretary on the fees I would need to pay. I only realized this once i got to the doctor's office, almost left - but then decided to stay to benefit from his expertise anyways. The consultation didn't go particularly well. I found communication with the doctor a bit difficult, and left with no more clue as to why i was having all my knee problems. I took the vitamins and arnica onction he recommended, but the pain is still there. I wouldn't go back there, felt taken for a fool.
