So close to the holiday... let's just say that's not going to work! (It's the 23rd of December!) I called this store and they confirmed they had Catan and various expansion packs in stock. The price is exactly what I was expecting to pay and then they had a 10% holiday discount. It's a Saturday and most stores are NOT answering their phones but this store answered on the 1st or 2nd ring!! They set aside two different games for me and confirmed they were open until 10pm! I swung by and the nicest person helped me to check out, signed me up for the rewards program, and explained their business model. You can rent and play games, purchase them, or bring your own! The prices are fair, especially with the phenomenon of the cards drastically increasing/decreasing in value each week. You can also trade in cards too. So if you have a ton of bulk, bring it on over here. They also hold card tournaments throughout the week and can teach you how to play.

My friends and I go 2-4 times a month to play commander. There's a table pass system in which you spend $10 and get a voucher that lets you stay and play and can be exchanged for $10 off of a purchase. This is fair and we've never had a problem with this. We typically end up spending ~$20-$30 each when we come and play anyway (more when we buy sets). The problem is how this voucher is limited in its use. My friend and I wanted to split a pizza, but were told we couldn't use our vouchers together in one order. A whole pizza here is $24, which is already fairly high priced; but because we had to do separate orders for a half pizza each we ended up spending $32 total for a whole pizza. Quite frankly, it's exploitative and greedy. Until this policy changes, our group will be playing elsewhere for our weekly magic. UPDATE: The owner's response to this was to explain the entire business model and how if he let customers spend their $10 voucher however they wanted, he would have to charge double that for people to play there, and then force people to get a $20 voucher on top of that. Well Jared, I may not be able to understand the mental gymnastics it takes to justify extortion of your customers, but I can see greed when it appears. The owner keeps making excuses as to why there is a lack of anything in store and decided to just shut the bathrooms down instead of fixing g the problem. I've talked to the owner personally looking for product and he asked for a few days to get it because the person uncharted of wording product couldn't get it. The product never came in. It looks to be empty promises, just to quiet any complaints the customers have . This has been going on for months. The only reason myself and others keep going to the store is the guys who working in the back area . Brandon and Gavin are AWESOME always helpful, there isn't enough good things to be said about them. This is the only reason I can give the store 2 stars.

There were so many modern unique items around. You can pay $10 for an all day admission to play games, if you're 21+ you can even byob. Pretty cool. In the shopping bag were these things I wanted to sell: 1) Ten loose packs of hockey cards - Ken's wasn't interested. 2) A sealed box of hockey card packs - Ken's wasn't interested. 3) A ziplock bag of 1988 Topps baseball coins -Ken's wasn't interested But in the binder were over 200 Wrestling cards from the 1990's, and to my surprise, Ken's was VERY interested in buying them. Now I know that shouldn't have been a surprise because I learned Ken's has devoted a whole room exclusively to wrestling memorabilia, and they were super interested in my Hulk Hogans, Andre the Giants, and Macho Man Savages. They bought every single card and I walked out with a price I could live with. If you have any wrestling fans in the family, they will do a pile-driver off the top rope and have a blast looking around Ken's Rasslin' Room. .
