The sale was a success except a lot of big items didn't sell because the prices were way to high. I was able to sell for a lesser price for my friend. No commission a bonus. When we arrived on last day of sale at closing the people involved in sale started acting sketchy. One fellow had a bookshelf in the back of his truck. (A family member of hers) Christina was carrying around this Norwegian pottery bowl. Like she was taking it home with her. We said dit it sell, she said no & set it on kitchen table. She told me the realtor told her she didn't have to do any clean up. Which he did not say. Ok sales over & she calls about 5 days later & says here's the total minus the $300.00 advertising fee. Now mind you, she does not advertise anywhere where it costs money. She even forgot to advertise on Craigslist I had to do it. $400.00 she claims for 2/30 ft flatbed trucks. That would be a lot of trash. I say no way. We did know in advance of these fees. What we didn't know is there is no advertising that costs her a dime. (A scam) The trash a scam. I requested a dump fee receipt & she said she did not have one. What business owner does not get a receipt? BS!! She makes it very clear you do not get paid from your sale untill 14 days after the sale. All other companies pay you within 5 days. Well here we are 23 days after the sale & still no check. Her excuse I can't control the mail. He received a letter from Florida & it got here in 4 days. Why is her check not here 10 miles away. Now we are having to drive across town in this heat wave to pick up his check. She did not even offer to bring it to us. Aarrgh!!!!?

When my mother passed I had no idea what to do with her jewelry. Ms Kabot - Carol - was extremely knowledgeable and honest in how she answered my questions. She understood the fine jewelry market and guided me on what pieces I should sell and what I should keep. I was especially touched that the person who was going to refine the gold refused my mother's wedding ring and insisted I keep it. Carol agreed with them and I am very thankful that part of their business model seems to be the acknowledgement that they were looking out for my emotional well-being as they put price tags on things that I care deeply about. I left the experience feeling positive about something that was very painful to me. And they were right. I always teased my mom I was going to make Christmas ornaments out of her jewelry. This year her wedding ring hung on the top of my Tree, on a little gold hook, and every time it sparkled at me I smiled and thought of my mom and how she would like that she was part of our Christmas. After 20 minutes of driving around for the next sign we finally made it to the sale. Right after we arrived while my group was meeting up and chatting a member of the team started speaking next to us and it was only apparent it was at us after she made an incredibly rude statement toward me. The person who was being addressed by Wilma was walking around snapping and shouting about things and rudely correcting what I would assume was a new member of the team. How you treat people on your team reflects on you and your company and it reflected poorly. The new member was one of the positives of the experience as she was kind, respectful, and very helpful. The prices were good but I will have to think very hard about if I will attend another sale run by this company as the vibes were so unpleasant.
