We initially called in another plumber, and he and his boss felt very strongly that a hairline crack in the pan of our master shower was causing the issue. They came back with an estimate of $7,000 to redo the entire master shower (and vanity). What? We called Bommer Plumbing for a second opinion and boy, are we glad we did. Jim arrived right on time and he worked with my husband and me to troubleshoot the leak. He spent close to 90 minutes at our place. Long story short, the culprit of the leak was worn caulk along the top of of the master shower basin, NOT a hairline crack. We all cheered when the source was found! We saved thousands of dollars with this (accurate) diagnosis. And he even pointed out a potential issue with the electric source for our downstairs bathroom fan. Jim was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and hilarious. We were cracking jokes like old buds. He was awesome! And office staff is super friendly. They keep you apprised of your plumber's whereabouts on the day of your appointment. They even send a picture of your plumber so you know what they look like ahead of time. This was a great touch and much appreciated, as you can never be too careful these days. I cannot recommend this company enough. As of June 26, 2026, Bill has been giving me date after date for over two months, promising to return and finish restoring my backyard, but the work still hasn't been completed. My yard is left with piles of dirt, uneven ground, and a large section of concrete that still hasn't been patched. Because of this, my kids haven't been able to safely play outside, and I've had to put off hosting family gatherings all summer. The most frustrating part is that the job has already been paid for. The repeated excuse has been that he's "busy," and communication has been inconsistent, my calls and texts are only answered when it's convenient to him. They recently started offering Plumbing services and my first experience was so-so. As part of the maintenance plan, you now get a plumbing inspection every year. The plumber who came out today was very nice but missed an issue that I pointed out to him. He did have his Master Plumber that was hiding in the truck (? Seemed odd haha) come take a look. There was some estimate issues leading me to think the installation of a toilet would be $1,000 for labor alone. However, the owner was quick to rectify and look into the issue personally once he became aware, and was very open to feedback on how to make the estimates more clear. I would still like to see them itemize the cost of materials in the future, but it seems to be something at least on his radar. I would give this company a chance if you're having issues. They seem to truly want to do the right thing by the customers and their employees, which is important.
