There is free street parking and the street is fairly low on traffic. The inside has a nice feel and the area I was in felt like a traditional American barbershop shop. It felt nice and comfortable and a place you can feel at ease. The chair was very comfortable and fit me well. Amanda greeted me at the front reception area with a smile and escorted me to the chair. We talked about the service and what she was going to do. She shaped up my side burns first, the my beard and mustache, and finally a little eyebrow touch up. The eyebrow trim was a nice touch and a first with a shave. She then moved on to the shave. A hot towel was used with normal warm foam and of course a straight razor. She went over my entire face with expert ease. After done she did another hot towel and a nice wood scented aftershave. I had no irritation at all. A quick look in the mirror and touch and it felt good. I returned home and asked my wife to check me out. She gave me the touch test and agreed it was a good shave. One thing to know is that Amanda does smoke. If you are hypersensitive to smoke smell it might off putting. It did not bother me, but it as noticeable. Overall solid shave and a great place to visit. I will likely return for another shave.

I actually drive all the way from Alabama to come get a hair cut and a beard trim. Typically giving large tips because of the great service. Today my drive was delayed a few minutes because of July 4th traffic coming from an hour away, and also with it being a busy weekend it took a couple of extra minutes to find parking. I arrived exactly 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time and was told I would have to reschedule because there was another appointment an hour after mine. I offered to shorten the appointment time and not get the beard done. My haircuts typically take about 25 minutes. No other explanation or reason was given. I have never heard of this policy from them and it very unfortunate that it had to be after driving over an hour in the middle of my workday to get a haircut. Wasn't a fan of the receptionist's customer service, and will sadly be finding a new place to get a cut.

When you first walk in they offer you a drink but sadly all they had available in the beer category were sissy lite beers and no bull on man beers. They did have a nice selection of liquors but I had quite a lot of other obligations to get done that day which would not have been conducive to imbibing liquor at such an early hour. The haircut was delayed by around 20 minutes as my selected female barber was running behind. When I finally got into the chair and started getting my haircut it proceeded alright overall but they did take a bit more off the top then I would have liked but it will certainly grow back. Overall this is one of the best barber experiences I've had in the Lower Alabama area.

I researched all the nearby salons and stylists before choosing Sarah, who turned out to be exactly what my hair needed. Making the appointment was a breeze. They asked a lot of questions which I liked as it helped them get a better sense of how my hair was currently and what exactly I was looking to get done. Sarah was awesome from start to finish. She explained everything she was doing, asked for my input and other questions as we went along, and was very transparent throughout the entire process. We started with a cut, then went into the blending and color. She dried a test swatch to ensure that I liked the final product and I felt comfortable enough to be completely honest. After a little update, I was left 100% satisfied. Usually I find little things wrong once I get home, but that hasn't been the case here. I got exactly what I envisioned and the color is something I've wanted for awhile but no other stylist has been able to really achieve. The salon itself is cute, clean, and spacious. They have their own parking lot which is super clutch given the downtown location. Prices are very reasonable and on par with the service you get. Overall, couldn't be happier with my experience. Lacking in manners by putting the phone down without saying goodbye. I have been a client for 6 years and am left with a bad taste. Val is not looking after the interests of the business.
