When I called and asked if they had a PT program for my condition, they did not but where confident they could 'come up with something' to fit the condition. Strike one! Already I was a bit skeptical. When I told them what I was looking for, in regards to modalities, to accompany my PT program, they didn't have them and tried to talk me out of asking for those. Strike two! I wanted to schedule an appointment to just see how things were at this place, but they were into high-pressure tactics and said that they would only see me to do an initial intake consultation, which was not free. They told me to bring my script with me, but the doctor did not issue one (and I'll explain in a second why). All of a sudden, they couldn't see me or take me on as a PT client until I had a script. I called my doctor's office and was stunned to learn that this Crossroads was lying to me!! My doctor's office informed me that my state was a Direct Access State for PT and that a script was not needed. I called Crossroads back and confronted them with the fact that they lied to me about this. All of a sudden the owner/main PT got on the phone and oh how the story changed - "Well, while it is true that a script is not required, we still like to have one." I told him he was breaking the law in my state by forcing people to bring in a script when it was not needed. Strike three! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. Also, they were one of the highest priced PT centers in my area. They billed you for ever 15 minutes you were actually there. Ridiculous!! If your insurance doesn't cover PT or you don't have insurance, be prepared to shell out A LOT of money to go here! They clearly were in the business to rake in the moolah. When I asked about a cash-paying patient discount, as I learned other PT centers in my area offered that, they said that they would not do that. It was full price or no services at all. Everything was billed piecemeal. VERY EXPENSIVE. Do yourself a favor and shop around before you go with this place for your PT needs.

I am experiencing burning & numbness in my right thigh for over a year now & also numbness in both my left & right toes, the right worse. I was recommended to go 3x week for Adjustment & PT, but that would cost $30 out of pocket each visit. So, due to being on a fixed income, I could not afford the $90 a week & went with just the Adjustment therapy for 2 x week, No PT. Was only able to do that for about 2 weeks, then realized could only afford 1x week @ $15 a visit.At first there was some relief in the thigh discomfort, (the numbness in the toes never got better) but then it kept getting worse. The machine they used on my rt gluteal area was causing some burning & discomfort there. They evaluated & asked me each visit how I was feeling & I told them about it. I decided if I could not afford the full treatment @ 3 x wk, I was really not getting benefits from just Adjustment 1 x week. My plan now is to see my family doctor again & go from there. They made an otherwise uncomfortable situation into a really great experience. Kiersten was able to help get me scheduled and confirm my medical coverage quickly. Sandy was so helpful getting my paperwork completed and getting me all set up in the room. Heather was exceptionally amazing at getting a brace fitted on my giant calf while providing kindness during the exam and the cortisone shots (ouch). Dr. Barra took the time to listen to my ailments and thoroughly explain my MRI results while providing a well thought out treatment plan. So I was going to the chiropractor's about every 2 weeks. I decided to try Forest Hills Chiropractic and after just a few visits, I have had no hip pain for several months. To top it off I was told I would pay a certain co-pay but apparently half way through my appointments they realized they billed the insurance wrong without telling me so I continued going and paying the same amount only to receive a letter in the mail from the office telling me I had a large amount due. This business will probably do fine with its long term elderly customers but as a short term thing I found the Dr. and the office lacked professionalism and would not recommend this chiropractic office.
