It was a full gut -- complete renovation with new everything: lighting, heated flooring, vanity, tub with handheld shower, and more. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating. To prevent the family room from getting dirty, they covered the floors and furniture in the entire family room. They always came on time and were incredibly diligent in their work. What I especially liked about AVC Home Improvement is that they are the ones who are actually do all the work. They are not a company who contract out their work. We had additional requests during the renovation of our full bathroom: adding lighting for the tub/shower area, installing grab bars and heated flooring. AVC didn't hesitate to accommodate our requests. They also installed a new utility room sink for the washing machine, and relocated the washing machine so that it is now next to the dryer. He was professional, personable, and very knowledgeable about the roofing shingles he installs (Owens Corning) and very detailed on his installation procedures and how he backs his workmanship and his future availability to respond to any questions or problems. Problem is, once he completed our roof installation, he collected his check and despite my numerous attempts to contact him via telephone and email, he has completely ghosted us. The reason I needed to follow up with him is there are three elements of our contract he has yet to complete. My fault, I know better but I paid him before all the work was completed. Part of the contract was his obligation to file our warranty with Owens Corning. I called Owens Corning and they have no record of Jason filing the paperwork. I believe his roofing crew did a good job on my roof installation, but I'm very disappointed that he walked away without completing all elements of our contract and now refuses to return my calls or respond to my emails. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Plumbing had to be replaced and reconfigured to move it from the right well to the left; we wanted a bathtub to replace the ancient standing shower; it took us forever to pick a vanity; we wound up choosing hardware that required specialised installation & nothing in that bathroom had been updated for about 20 years. Austin, Moira & Carlos at Kingston guided our selections, problem-solved as issues came up, kept up a steady flow of communication & all in all, delivered a gorgeous result for a reasonable price. Moira, the Director of Operations, was especially instrumental in translating our hopes into reality. What we had when this project started was a tired, leaky, non-functional butter yellow & turquoise late 70's/earlyspace with a useless dividing wall that made the room look smaller then it is. After about 7 weeks what we had instead was a beautiful modern bath with sharply contemporary hardware, a soothing grey color scheme with gleaming porcelain tiles, annoying partial wall removed & an elegant, deep bathtub that surprisingly fit into the small amount of space we had to work with, our starkly modern design scheme *and* our budget. The construction team was good about keeping us up to date about schedule changes. They were polite & professional & took good care of our home while they worked here. We're planning our next project.. The kitchen.. & Kingston is top of the list of companies we'd consider for the job. We purchased Kohler rain shower plus hand-held and tub mechanism with all necessary valves from Fergussons. We kept our reclining Kohler tub with side st.steele handles. We needed to tear out and replace all prior tiles due to leak, and wet uninsulated walls around tub. Mr. Buendia and his team planned out the job, gave us a reasonable estimate, told us from when to when the job was going to be done, emailed us job proposal, we agreed and signed contract, and the the job started. They covered floors and stairs to prevent any damage, while we made sure they had access to an empty bathroom. In the middle of job we discovered that we needed to reinstall 'all walls, which we did not know when we started. Mr. Buendia and I went to the Tile store on Eisenhower Ave., and we chose together a tile that would fit and look great, and align with remaining ceramic floor. The team worked in coordinated way, and the end result is truly terrific! We are very satisfied and very much recommend Mr. Buendia's team to others. Prior to this job we had also hired Mr. Buendia for other jobs, redoing siding and trim on a townhouse, replacing basement foor with tile, replacing ceiling tiles with a true ceiling, painting, installing storm doors.
