In July/August, we experienced a ceiling leak that caused significant damage throughout our home, impacting two bathrooms, the playroom, entryway hallway, and laundry room. After water mitigation and demolition were completed, we were left needing extensive repairs and full remodels of the affected areas. This was our first time dealing with a major home issue, and navigating insurance, contractors, and conflicting opinions felt overwhelming and stressful. I spoke with several contractors and received multiple estimates, but Alan stood out immediately. He was the first to respond and the first to give clear, straightforward, and honest answers. Beyond that, Alan is genuinely such a fun and easygoing person to work with, which made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. He has a great eye for design and prioritizes top-notch materials while still being realistic and respectful of budget. He guided us through the design process, helped with material selection, and made thoughtful recommendations every step of the way. Marlon and Emmanuel are incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and truly kind. They treated our home with care and always took the time to explain what they were doing, which made us feel confident and at ease throughout the process. Fast forward to today, we finally have our home back -- and we couldn't be happier with the results! Not having functional bathrooms and access to certain rooms for months took a toll on our family and our mental health. Click Construction stepped in during a very difficult time and helped restore not just our home, but our peace of mind. My only regret is not finding them sooner. I've attached before-and-after photos so you can see the incredible transformation for yourself. I highly recommend Click Construction to anyone looking for quality work, honesty, and a team that truly cares.

"Innovative Outdoor Living" and "Innovative Deck." www.innovativedeck.com and www.vainnovative.com. ************** I contracted Deckorator for a screen porch, patio and fire pit. Before you hire this company, be certain to check their Better Business Bureau listing where they are rated F with 18 complaints and are not supported by the BBB. Our project was due to start Sep 2014 and finish early Oct 2014; ample time according to Mr. Jon Pizzo. It wasn't until late April that the job was finally finished and even then we are still dealing with finishing touches. At one point the following email excerpt was sent to Mr. Pizzo: "Unfortunately, your unwillingness or inability to meet to resolve the pending items, in addition to the lack of responsiveness, is forcing my hand. I think we have been exceptionally patient to this point, but this project is now in its seventh month, and while there have been some legitimate reasons for delays (terrible weather in February), there have also been myriad lost opportunities to progress, and ultimately complete, the project between September and now. That includes many instances where we were told work would start, only for no one to show up followed by one excuse or another as to why." Poor communication, no attention to detail, did not follow construction requirements as indicated in the contract, multiple no shows, poor planning. Working with this organization has been the worst customer experience I've ever had.

The behaviors of some (mostly two) of the reps selling the product and discussing the deck/patio's were lacking in information, didn't answer questions, didn't know the answers and were unprofessional. In the end, it seemed like they just wanted to get paid. I am glad the job is done, but the amount of stress during the 30 days was not worth it and for such a high cost, I expect better. I am working on the front of my house and I will not contact deckorators, I will reach out and find a more cost effective and professional organization. Hope this helps.

WORST HANDYMAN I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED…read more Here's what happened... - I asked Gino to do 2 tasks: 1) install an additional shelf in my closet and 2) transform an empty/dead space in my cabinet into a usable cabinet. He said he could do both and would charge me $300 for both tasks - I didn't even negotiate with him as I thought that seemed like a fair price? - For the cabinet I asked Gino to transform the empty space into a cupboard that matches the rest of my cabinets. First off, he asked me to pick up all the wood, plywood, and handles from Home Depot (WHAT!? I have no experience in this!). That should have been my first warning sign, but he insisted I do it. Then, he did a half-ass job of constructing a cabinet that barely even matches the rest - it looks like a 2 year old did it. Lastly, and most infuriatingly, I noticed that he put the cabinet door on backwards - with the brown/rough edge exposed instead of the polished white side facing out!! When I texted Gino to alert him to his mistake, he replied "Paint it white" - how condescending! What an awful handyman to suggest I finish the job for him that he did incorrectly! Pictures of the cabinet and text attached. - For the closet, I currently have 1 shelf installed but want a 2nd above the 1st. Gino drilled 12 halls into the wall and THEN told me he was unable to complete the task because there was metal behind the wall. Seems strange because there's already 1 shelf successfully up, but fine - I understand if it's a safety concern and he doesn't want to complete the task. The part I'm furious about is that he left the 12 drilled holes in my wall that I now have to now patch, sand, and paint!! Picture attached. I told Gino he could not leave my wall like that - and he said he would return another day to fix it - and I requested it be within the next 2 weeks... - Bringing me to my next point, his unprofessional, condescending, and a**hole behavior. I followed up the morning Gino was supposed to return to the finish/fix the job and he replied "In hospital. Bad Reception. Flu and Other symptoms". Ooook ... I texted you, didn't call ... but fine, I'll assume you're telling the truth and so I told him to rest, feel better, and we could regroup the following week. Upon confirmation the following week Gino replied "Can't work for 2-3 weeks. I'm past 60, my body is breaking down. Some faster than others - not sure when I can get back there". So I replied "Sorry to hear you're body is breaking down, but that's not the deal we made ... I paid you $300 for an unfinished job that I expected you to complete within 2 weeks, so I would like you to come back tomorrow or give me an exact date you can return" ... to which he replied: "Listen here little girl. I went there to do a job. And my job did not include painting. You have champagne taste on a beer budget. I'm out. Enough said". WHAT......???? All of these texts are attached. This is unprofessional, rude, and UNREAL - I couldn't believe he had the audacity to say such awful things! - Gino is a conman: he does part of the job, at poor quality under expectations, demands money with the promise that he'll return to finish, and then plays sick or flat out denies to come back. - Gino told me that he used to live in LA and went bankrupt there ... and now I understand why. He'll probably go bankrupt here in DC as well. Moral of the story: DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN - HE IS HORRIFIC. *Gino: I will gladly revise this review if you choose to fix the problems you created at my house or refund my money for an unfinished job. Otherwise this post will remain on your Yelp page to warn others against you.

I asked what cabinet distributors they used and she couldn't give me a name, she said they use many. I then asked what the difference would be between getting a particular cabinet color (not knowing what my options were or what would be in stock without a company name), and she said custom vs semi custom are just words and that it's all pretty much custom so it wouldn't make a difference. Upon asking a few more questions, she proceeded to tell me "I'm not sure if you saw, but our company has almost a 5-star review and that's almost unheard of". I didn't know what to make of it, but considering what some of their reviews mentioned, I felt as though we were going to get the same treatment. She said she'd get back to me by Friday with a quote and a visual of the kitchen updates-- it was Tuesday that day. We gave her a call that Friday afternoon to follow up and she insisted that the cabinet company was taking a while and that she'd get back to us by Monday the latest if not over the weekend. We waited and got nothing so my husband called her the following Wednesday without ever hearing from her. She continued to reassure us that she hasn't forgotten about us and that she'd get back to us by Monday for sure. It's now been 21 days and we got no updates or any communication from them. It's clear that this is a pattern for them and I'd advise someone looking to get work done by someone reliable and honest to look elsewhere.
