I tried this nail salon for the first time last month because a good friend of mine goes here regularly! Tina and Ava are super sweet nail technicians and are highly recommended by people I know. They know their clients by name and have built a great reputation! Tina did my nails and she was very tentative, making sure that the color and chrome finish was what I was hoping for. She has a kind demeanor and I can tell she genuinely wanted me to have a good experience as a first timer (in a long time) getting nails done. What I got: dip nails + added acrylic tip + ombre + chrome finish with a pink base color Prices are appropriate and match the other local businesses around here! Chrome: They have sooooo many options Ombre: SO MANY COLOR OPTIONS Quality: My nails lasted for a whole month! No chipping and had a smooth finish to them. I will DEFINITELY come back for Tina or Ava next month!

Love both Jessica and Emily. You cant go wrong with anyone you get. They all do a wonderful job and are sooo sweet and kind. Relaxing compared to most salons that are loud and rushed. You feel pampered and get great quality. Most importantly, all tools are sterlie. I have Lupus and type 1 diabetes so this is extremely important to me. They also educate you about your nails. UPDATE: I've been coming here for over a year and I love it more and more!

My shellac and friends regular polish

I went here for a pedicure and came back later in the week for a shellac manicure. I was able to call and make a reservation (I called the day before for my manicure that I went with a friend). They do a nice job for the price. The manicure went fast but I like that they "got to business" and did not "small talk". They take card but tips are given in cash (per their request). UPDATE: The toe nails were regular polish and done earlier than my shellac. My toe nails have held up pretty well but one of my shellac nails came off and it's been less than two weeks. Usually I can go 3+ weeks with Shellac so I'm a little bummed about that. Still pleased overall.

Was recommended by a coworker and was not disappointed. I got my first set of acrylics and was worried about the feel. The technician made sure they felt comfortable and were the correct length. As well as making sure I liked the color as well.

We really liked our pedis from Dream Nails. However we were surprised to find out, after the fact, that the polka dots on I got on two (yes 2) toes had cost me an extra $17. That was disappointing. Aside from that everyone was friendly.

    Dip manicure

I've been coming to Dream Nails consistently for nearly 2 years now. The nail techs are all so friendly and do a fabulous job. I try to make an appointment but have never had an issue walking in when necessary. Their selection of colors in phenomenal and my dip always looks fabulous for 2-3 weeks (and would longer, but my nails grow super fast). You won't find me in any other nail salon anytime soon!

Ask the Community - Dream Nails

    Is it cheap?

Everyone's definition of cheap is a little different. I usually pay $45 for an upgraded pedicure and $45-50 for a dip manicure depending on what design I decide to go with.

Are they open on sundays? What time do they close on Sunday?

The business hours say 11am to 4pm for Sunday.

Our pedicure was $168 before tip. $20 of this price was unknown as to where it came from as the pedicure should've been $59 each plus $15 each for gel.. Given the price we had high expectations as where we normally go for our pedi is priced similar but with a completely different spa like experience. Let me start by saying that the menu we were handed was covered in some sort of goop and I was shocked that they wouldn't clean it off or offer a towel for our hands. We picked the third highest pedicure on their list that supposedly had offerings that the entry level pedicures didn't. But, since the lady next to me picked the cheapest pedicure I found out we got the exact same pedicure for different prices? They used the same oils and lotions out of bottles that look like they would hold ketchup at a BBQ restaurant with no label so who knows what it actually was. Normally, when you choose different pedis a nice salon will have different scents to choose from or a bath bomb or scented salt soak for your feet or specially scented oils but nope. Just unscented what seems to look like vegetable oil. Additionally, we weren't offered a drink. We weren't told where the massage remote was for our chairs causing us to go half of our pedicure without one, we were given extremely rushed leg massages with a max time of 5 minutes and at the end, the girl who gave my pedicure just walked away and never came back. I sat there wondering should I put on my shoes and go pay or if she would return? To add to this as if it isn't bad enough, we also didn't get the reflexology that is mentioned on their menu. The menu is filled with fluff that isn't clear on what you will receive. If you do decide to go here, which I advise against, just get the cheapest and prepare for disappointment.

I was thinking about checking out Sara's Nails but then found Elite Nails & Spa on Yelp. Not having to cross the East Beltline was kind of a bonus so I gave them a call to see if they had any availability for that afternoon - which they did! I walked in and was greeted right away and asked what I was in for. They do seem to take appointments as a couple people came in after me and mentioned their appointment. However, one group was turned away because they were late for their time slot - so be timely if you have a reservation. I chose a nail polish from the huge selection - I will say that many of the polishes looked like they were separating. I don't know that much about nail polish (remember, I only get a pedicure like once a year lol) but that kind of seemed like maybe they were old. I'm sure you can also bring your own polish if you have one that you like. I got seated quickly and the pedicure was pleasant. They have a few options for pedicures at different price points. I wasn't asked which level I wanted, nor did I specify, but I ended up getting the Basic pedicure for $35, which I feel is reasonably priced and in line with other spots I've been to in the past. The scrub and hot towels were nice. The pedicure itself was gentle and I was really pleased with the results. They do take credit cards for payment, but their receipt slips don't have a tip line, so you can either let them know you'd like to add a tip before they run your card, or they can run it again for the tip amount. They do prefer tips in cash, so I'll be sure to bring some next time.

This experience highlighted the importance of proper communication between the client and technician to ensure expectations are clearly understood and to provide safe, satisfactory service. I came in hoping to have my nails filled. I was greeted by Kim and then assigned to another technician. The technician did not speak English, so communication was very difficult. I asked Kim to help translate. I was told that they recommended starting over with a new set, although I did not fully understand the reason. I agreed. During the removal of my existing gel, the technician filed my nails and then used a piece of plastic to chip away the old gel. In the process, the top layer of my natural nails was also removed. I have very thin nails, and this was painful. I asked Kim to explain this to the technician, but communication remained difficult. The technician then began preparing my nails for tips. I specifically explained that I did not want tips because I cannot tolerate nail glue. I requested gel or powder instead. By that point, however, my nails had already been cut very short. Kim then took over after finishing with another client. When Kim asked what shape I wanted, I explained that I wanted a natural shape--not pointy or square. I tried several times to explain that I simply wanted the corners rounded. The communication continued to be difficult, and I felt that Kim was increasingly frustrated with me as a client. Eventually, while working on my nails, she suddenly began cutting them very short. When I questioned what she was doing, she told me she would not continue the service, that there would be no charge, and that she needed to cut off what she had done. She then told me to go somewhere else. This happened at approximately 6:55 p.m., when most other salons were already closing, leaving me with very short, damaged and painful nails and nowhere realistic to go for help that evening. I understand that communication difficulties can happen, but I expected patience, professionalism, and care--especially when I was clearly experiencing pain and trying to explain what I wanted. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled left me very disappointed. Based on my experience, I would not return.
