I recently (3/10/23) got my ears pierced a second time. I was concerned about them looking straight because my first piercing was done when I was 7 and are crooked. The piercer, Christina, took the time to line everything up and did a fantastic job making them both look perfect even with my crooked original piercing. I highly recommend Dreamline for piercing. Wanted to get a tattoo of a simple cross. I thought about it for a long time to commemorate a significant event in my life. Older woman receptionist was very very nice. Went into the back and she gave assigned me to a an artist. As I filled out the paperwork, the tattoo artist came to me and shoved a pIece of paper on my waiver with his phone number and said text him a picture of the tattoo i wanted. Not a hello, how are you. No introduction of who he was or anything. He also seemed a bit "off." For something that will last forever, I thought it would be a welcoming more pleasant experience. I trusted my gut and walked out. I did not feel comfortable getting my tattoo by someone who didn't even look at me no matter how good he is. FYI: the response from the owner validated my decision to choose another tattoo parlor. Acknowledging basic customer service has nothing to do with sensitivity or offense. The guy that pierced my belly button was not friendly at all as soon as I walked in the room all he said was pull your shirt up and then began cleaning it.. it was just uncomfortable‍ after that he rudely told my friend she wasn't allowed to take pictures of me which I didn't understand. The piercing process took wayyy longer than it should of. First, he pierced it then told me he had to take it out and pierce it again. Him cursing under his breath didn't help the fact I was already kind of panicking. He spent what felt like 10 minutes just clamping my belly button which hurt like hell bc it was sore and bleeding from the hole he just pierced. I asked what the problem was and all he said was "The clamp keeps slipping" ??? The second time piercing it hurt even more but that was it. I was kind of hoping for a discount or at least an apology for that torture but I just won't be going back. read more

To start off What a poor response You know it's crazy The audacity some shops have not knowing what happens in their own shop I could go on about the racial slurs the receptionist (female with blond hair) has said to me about two African American females on two occasions while getting my information But why add that into this 1 bad review is enough I've seen reviews claiming lesser issues than mine Which have merited an apology or at the very least a 'sorry for the misunderstanding' Regardless of who is right or wrong For a company claiming to fix botched work and having a prestige name You'd think you'd know about PR and keep it polite and respond promptly Let's face it For a great shop You probably aren't used to bad reviews So you'd think you'd jump on the opportunity to fix one Instead of indirectly acting smart and saying there's a huge difference between what I said as if I'm out of touch with reality Secondly Why are you messaging me asking me about the artist..... then publicly saying you already spoke to the artist? There are several artists at the shop As a shop Owner You'd think you'd want to get as much information from both sides before making claims publicly Thirdly, you are right It is a coverup I mentioned that in my initial post As a matter a fact it's not my first coverup SoI think I know how this works But this is my first tattoo From This Shop Maybe that made the difference And maybe that was my due diligence But if in fact you spoke to the artist as you claimed you'd know the entire situation What you see on my thigh Is essentially the final tattoo Because Raphael only needed me to book 1 hour To add white lines Not color Not shading White lines But let's give him the benefit of the doubt In an hour alot can be done But with white lines Tell me, do you really think the 'coverup' would be a success? Have a skin infection. Thinking back, Timmy Friday used new needle tips, but didn't sterilize them. What was I thinking? We were greeted by a young lady at the counter who was very nice, who asked the tattoo artist to come consult with us, about a tattoo my friend wanted, a small quote that's 4 words, non cursive, and small, and then possibly the same kinda thing above his knee. We were greeted by the artist. "Ralph". Who seemed completely uninterested in us, helping us or doing the job in general. Asked about what kinda font if they had any kinda letting books like other shops we've been too. He tells us to go online. And after a quote of 220$ for 2 small tattoos, about 1 inch big. Although the people we dealt with were very nice I have a few issues. My daughter and I both got matching tattoos. She also got a piercing. Her piercing did great. She followed the instructions given and is very happy, no problems at all. However, the tattoos were a different issue. It was a very simple design but about a week and a half after getting them they started to fade. We were told and did go back after three weeks for touch ups. They were fixed but once again after two weeks faded, to the point were half of the one on my daughter is gone. Mine thinned out. They are in the same place. Not happy with the tattoo. UPDATE: we were contacted by the owner and invited back to correct the issues we were having. We got in within a few days with Dave. He explained what to do and what not. He spent the time needed to make it better and I must say, so far so good. Based on how deep he tattooed and our after care directions I would be surprised if these fade at all. read more

I have called this shop on multiple occasions asking about potential tattoos, and I am always greeted with a super abrasive rude woman on the phone with a bad attitude! (Same voice everytime) I've heard such good things I keep calling back in hopes that particular woman won't be there. Today I called asking if they were having any Friday the 13th sales (as most tattoo shops and piercing places do) and was met with anger and disrespect being told that their employees "were not amateurs" and they "are professionals" and they do not have "kiddie stupid sales" and was hung up on. Came here at 6:20 on 8/3 with my sister and brother in law. Me and my brother in law wanted to get tattoos and asked the female receptionist if they were accepting walk ins. She said yes, but please come back in about 45 minutes when Eric is done. We came back around 7:15 and had our paperwork done by 7:30. My brother in law went first and had a pretty detailed horseshoe crab tattoo that took from 8:14 until 9:50 (don't get me wrong, the work was absolutely beautiful, and the price was great). But Eric immediately packed up after finishing because he was done for the night. I walked out to the male receptionist since the female was gone and asked, "I guess I'm not getting mine today? My paperwork has been done and I was told we were both getting done." He said, "Yes, you're getting done! Eric will do you!" He asked Eric and another man (I think Timmy Friday cause Spike and Rafael were both gone already) and they both refused because "it's 10:00, I'm off the clock." The male receptionist said, "no she's been here for hours, she's been here longer than I have and I've been here for hours." Eric said the female receptionist never gave him my paperwork, which was a lie. Meanwhile, my tattoo would have taken at most 20 mins. Picture is attached. I can't begin to describe how awesome this place is. I had a HORRIBLE experience getting a piercing on the boardwalk. I went to a tattoo place so I thought they had to know what they were doing. Turns out, I WAS WRONG! Me ear swelled up and the ball of my piercing fell out. I decided to stop in Dreamline when I was passing by to see if they could help. The woman up front was about as nice as they come. She was AMAZING. Uncle Spike was who helped me. He was with me for more than 30 mins. I thought that was amazing they he didn't rush me and he wasn't even tattooing or piercing me. He was able to change the piercing and it looks great!! It's only been 24 hours and if feels so much better. I can thank him enough. Going back in two weeks to get another piercing from him. read more

Giving this place 5 stars !! I'm a local & went here with two of my friends. We all got tattoos & from the second we walked in we felt at home. We were immediately sat in their "VIP" room with comfortable couches, a TV, and some photo books. We filled out our paperwork & Uncle Spike (our fantastic tattoo artist) made sure we liked the print outs of our tattoos before we got started. They may or may not be good at other things, but nipple piercings aren't one of them. I came here in July to get mine pierced, and they healed well, I didn't have any issues. Fast forward to present day, I wanted to change the jewelry, but found that the hole was too small. I went to a local piercer in Brooklyn to find that they gave me eyebrow ring jewelry and pierced me with a 16G instead of the 14G that should've been used. So, I had to get both of my nipples repierced if I ever wanted a chance at wearing all of the jewelry that I already bought for them. In the end, it cost me way more than it had to to get some nipple piercings, and it's not fair for me to have had to go through that pain twice. read more

We were so lucky to get Justin, who is an amazing artist. He took his time making sure he understood what we both wanted, and he made us feel completely comfortable. I got my daughter's ear pierced here last August. She got her second and third hole pierced and in the car she started feeling really sick. It stopped when she got home and they never healed properly. We cared for them and they got infected in less than a month. I do not recommend. read more

We went back so I could get a touch up where he messed up, and he made it worse. He tattooed flesh tone ink around the lines to hide his mistakes and told me it would fade. Well I don't see how ink can fade when it is tattooed into your skin. So I guess it will fade when I die? A simple touch up turned into a total f**k up. Hello, i don't know if u got my previous review but i'm upset from the outcome, i went to get my belly piercing on January 12th 2020. i was so excited and couldn't wait. the guy at the desk was extremely nice and very welcoming so i felt secure to get it pierced there bc i got it recommended. this guy took me in i don't remember his name but he had a hat and longish hair. I've seen videos and people have told me that when u get a navel belly button piercing they're supposed to draw the line then ask you to stand to see if it's straight or double check to make sure it straight i left that day with a crooked belly button ring and thought nothing of it but it's been crooked the entire time. the guy that took me in didn't double check to make sure it was straight or stand me up so i could see myself he just laid me down and drew the line and i saw that he redid it another time and then went straight to piercing it. i would've came sooner but i thought it was just the healing process of it being a little crooked. i'm very upset and i don't know what to do. i expected to look cute and have a nice straight piercing but i don't. the guy seemed annoyed and seemed to just rush the piercing . idk if i should take it out let it close and then re-pierce it with a discount or what. but i know that i'm not keeping this piercing crooked. i'm upset bc i trusted that the person that told me had a good instinct and it seemed like such a good organized, welcomed place but my piercing is crooked and i need it fixed. read more

The man at the front desk was very, very professional, nice, and easy to communicate with. I got my nipples pierced a year and a half ago at another tattoo shop that didn't give me aftercare instructions, and I needed major help because the piercings were going downhill and I had no clue how to heal them, because the advice id gotten from a nurse and a piercer at another place wasn't working. Here, he had me talk to Uncle Spike, who listened to my whole story and all of the issues, examined them in a very professional manner, and gave me very thorough advice. He spent 40 minutes with me, explaining what was going on, why, and what my options were. I knew I just wanted to get rid of them, so after determining that they were not infected, my body was just trying to regrow the nipple and push the piercing out, he cleaned everything and removed the piercings painlessly, then gave me extensive advice on how to keep the open wounds clean and ensure that they heal nicely over the next few days. Uncle Spike also pierced my brother's lip, and he said that if either of us have any follow-up questions, we can come in, call the shop, or if he's not in or the shop is closed for some reason, he said we can always message him on his Facebook or Instagram page and he'll answer our questions as soon as he sees the message. My situation sucked, but this place really helped me, so my brother and I will definitely be back for future piercings/tattoos. read more

Ok soo. I decided to go a few different shops first but ultimately ended up going here. Welp! When I came in to talk to someone the lady from the front brought us to the back of the store to talk to the guy RalpVelez about what I wanted.(the man had left over white powder under his nose, eyes pin point (we were inside), and he was sniffling. I didn't think to much of it because the lady said he wasn't the best they hand plus this tattoo was super simple. I even brought in a picture of where I wanted it and what it should look like. (Keep in mind I have a centered chest piece already) so I asked if he could place it right under my collar bone going straight to my shoulder. I made sure to tell him I didn't want it to looked cluttered. ( even physically showing him over and over where I wanted it. Just want my son and daughters name on me and I told him how much this tattoo will mean to me. I asked for two small bear cub claw prints next to it on my should. He says ok $150. I go to the front and ask when WIll he be in again she said well if you put $20 down you'll be seen right away with no wait time. She said they are very busy. I gave her the $20 but two or three days before the appointment I had to rush my son back up to see his neurologist. I called and asked to push it to his next available appointment. Which was the next day lol. When I came in a few mins early even. The place was dead. The lady at the front told me that he had someone back there already and I would have to wait. I was like ok than weep hours go by no one came in buybacks employees and definitely no one left besides the lady up front. This guy comes out just eating than a half hour after that he finally comes out to me. I explain in detail the sameness as I did before and he starts the tattoo. When he got to the bear claw he said " shit.. fuck.. shit" I looked and was like what's a matter! He looks at the tv and goes " oh I thought this wasn't a different song" . I could tell he was lying But didn't go with my gut. When it was all done I noticed the one bear cub had 6 claws all bunched and over lapping and a random thick line just coming out of the claw going straight into the 'i' in my sons name! I was livid but he promised that it wasn't just left over ink he couldn't wipe off. The worse part was it was half the length I asked him for and he put it next to my chest piece and it look so cluttered and I could have cried. It was my kids name people like wtf! So I went to lady to pay for this crap and she was like. " ok $150 for the tattoo and $20 tip , I'll just use the $20 you gave us to hold your appointment. Would you like to put down another $20 so we could hold you a spot for that sleeve you mentioned last time" I just about smacked the smuge look off that lady. It was a total scam. They lie to you and make u put $20 hold on ur appointment CLAIMING they are busy when in fact they are anything but that. In the end she knew she was taken that's $20 to give him. If he was good he would have got more. I left and will never return there! I felt robbed Twice and of the two and a half + hours I spent waiting for an appointment I paid to not wait for! Then the absolutely horrid tattoo that can't be fixed. BEWARE of this place! read more
