Friend recently got a beautiful tattoo, took care of it as directed and now has an awful infection. Would not recommend

My fiancé and I called up and went in Friday night at 9:30. Spoke to Al and we made an appointment and left a deposit to come back the following day at noon. Very professional not your average tattoo shop. No flash to choose from. Only custom work. We came in with our own ideas drawn up and left them with him and he added everything I wanted to it and even last minute he accommodated me by freehanding a flower for me. Experience from beginning to end was top notch service. He let me play whatever I wanted on the TV and was super patient with my flinching (I've never had my legs tattooed) I would highly recommend this place over any shop in Atlantic City. No sketchy outrageous prices. Real artist doing solid work. And the prices were absolutely reasonable. Love my work. My favorite tattoo so far! read more

Rude, impatient staff and does a messy job on tattoo. Not what you expected or discussed. Randomly adds in their own design without asking first. I do not recommend. There are friendly tattoo shops in the area... find a better one or risk getting a sloppy tattoo read more

Me and my buddy both got relatively large pieces and they managed to fit us in in a very timely manner. Very clean and professional. When I was there the owner was there and he talked with us for a while. All the artists are super sick and very talented. Will probably make this my main shop. My artist was FLX and he was very talented. Did all my work in one day, not complete but worked around to match my schedule. Awesome experience. read more

So my man and went there yesterday to both get matching tattoos from the beginning I can tell the owner Al was an alpha male because he kept trying to talk me into getting my tattoo facing outward. I told him I wanted it like the picture. He gave us separate tattoo artist. I have had a lot of tattoos done. I knew something was off when my tattoo artist didn't draw up her own stencil. But I proceeded..she was very nice but I normally ask to see work. She told me she had only been tattooing for 6 months. Anywho I let her start but her hand was so shaky, I than looked at her work on social media and realized that an apprentice was tattooing me. I knew I couldn't take that risk especially with the money they were charging. She understood and said she would go talk to the owner Al. Probably 1 min after she told him the problem he asked me what the issue was..I told him I was happy with the work I seen her do and wanted someone different he than proceeds to ask me to look at my tattoos and that he could pick apart mine. I told him that didn't matter I'm a paying customer if I'm not comfortable that's my right. He told me to let him speak but at that time I was already upset and offended that he would handle the situation this way. He got super aggressive and my man had to step in and tell him to relax..he even told me I couldn't go over and talk to my man while he was getting tatted but the worker who was tatting my man stopped..Al said he wasn't giving money back for my man tattoo even though it was only a line that was no bigger than an inch and a half. Told him to sit down and get tatted. His tattoo artist ended up handing him back all the money and Al got even more infuriated and threatened to call the cops. I told him go right on and call. Than we walked out. I felt that because we were african American he gave me an apprentice tattoo artist. I went to another tattoo shop and told them about what happened and they told me that that man is a asshole and no one wants to work for him. I felt bad for the apprentice and the tattoo artist who gave the money back especially because he told her not to. He was so unprofessional. Horrible service read more

I got my septum pierced. It came out very crooked. Within 24 hours, despite proper care and cleaning it was very infected and painful. A very bad experience. Would not recommend this place for a piercing. read more

I've been going to Inked Society for three years now and I will continue to go back. After finally opening up to a therapist about my mental health after 10 years I started to get my life back on track in the right direction. The next step was to cover the physical scars I've unfortunately collected throughout the years of depression. Al the owner of Inked Society opened my eyes up to the beautiful art that can be created through a tattoo. Three years in and I've developed not just an positive tattoo artist to go to but a friendship that can never be replaced. There will always be haters in this life that want to put you down but reading some of the negative reviews it makes me laugh because Al and Staff would never tear you down when you enter their shop but find ways to build you up! Next time your quick to comment something harsh understand that negative comments only add to a negative life. Lets spread positivity during this dark time and shine light on the people that hide in the shadows without recognition for the hard work they do put in daily and not to shine light on the negative words a keyboard can create. read more

I got my belly button pierced and he left no room for it to maneuver or anything. It got very infected puss and all. But now it's cleared up with some salt and water I just wouldn't recommend for someone to get a piercing there. I have family members who got different things pierced (tongue, nipples, and nose) most were crooked of some sort. He doesn't use clamps like he should. So just not a good place for piercings. read more
