Plus, it's very important to uncheck the auto renew box on your dashboard when you only want one-time use (5 downloads, $21-$25) or you will forever be caught in this company's ongoing horror show of payment cycles, and they don't let you out. Absolute scam. I signed up for a free trial, turns out they don't remove the watermark. Tried to cancel, they said my password was incorrect (I had set up my password only minutes before, so I knew it was correct). No button to reset password. Like others leaving reviews, I signed up for the 5 free images. They were watermarked images. Then I was charged for one month. What the hell? I downloaded (and used) one image. Then I was billed for a second month, and the credits from the first month were gone like a cellphone carrier, the credits don't roll over. So sad I have never written a bad review. This happened a month ago and I feel it's a good way to warn people. I paid for 3 images. I didn't mind that at all. Thinking good for me I'm doing this the legit way and not just stealing the picture from the internet. Welp, they charged me 40 bux a week later and said that I had to cancel if I didn't want it to happen again. Customer service was horrible and they give you no other way to resolve it. So I cancelled and will move on with my life. Just never go to this company. Crooks out to get a few bux from thousands of people. Do the math. Out of the blue I see a charge on my cc for Dreamstime! No idea why, maybe I subscribed years ago? But they have an old email address that I no longer use, and a mailing address that I moved from two moves ago. I can't cancel my account because I don't have full online access and they want me to confirm my email address change by sending a confirmation email to the address that I no longer use, so I'm stuck! I called and left a voicemail asking them to refund the charge. BTW, there is no contact phone number anywhere on their web site, I had to find it using Google. Sucky company! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Avoid at all costs. I signed up for their "Free trial" I entered my card number (Which is my Paypal debit card) and it would not let me download. So I thought okay, I will use my bank card maybe there is a glitch with Paypal at the moment. I used my bank card and was charged $25! I JUST got off of the phone with their customer service monster. "Cookie" is her name, she is telling me that I signed up and cancelled within 2 minutes and that I can no longer access the free trial. I told her that I would not cancel something within 2 minutes of signing up. "You cancelled 2 minutes after signing up" and she went on to give me the exact time. I told her that my bank account is showing a $25 charge she stated that "It's pending only" I rechecked and it is showing as paid. PLEASE CONTACT THE BBB. This woman was absolutely rude and kept repeating herself like a damn robot. If I was allowed to give 0 stars, I would. The girl who answered the phone was very RUDE! No friendly greetings, no good mornings, no how are yous. I asked why they were charging my credit card, how they got a hold of it in the first place I have no idea. Fraud alert! She asked impolitely, after asking my full name and the last 4 digits of my CC, the last charge I had. I asked why, they should know since they've charged the card 3 times. A 5 cent charge at first then 2 $39 charges for March and April. She put me on hold, then got back on the phone just to tell me that I need to call my CC company and dispute the charges. ?!?!?! Why on earth did you charge me in the first place? That's what I wanted to know. But of course she's not going to tell you now, is she? Now, I have to call the card company, go through the fraud department, they'll cancel the card, send a new one. All seems fine --- EXCEPT I have to review all my auto debit/charge accounts and change the card number on file, one by one by one. If you are seeking FREE vector images --- Dreamstime is not the place to be. They advertise all over that you may begin a FREE trial period and download up to 5 images FREE. Aaaaaha! Not so much. They are not free ---- even after you pay a monthly subscription price ---- they charge you per image.Then when I tried to reach out to Customer (Dis) Service they will not connect me until either I sign up/pay or bleed from my eyes first. These are the kind of company that give a Bad name to other, more reputable companies online. Do yourself a big favor and STAY CLEAR of this 'bait and switch' demon! read more

I called outraged, to be told that they state the subscription agreement plain as day. I will say they will reverse the charges and cancel the subscription if you call. This is a business that unfortunately doesn't seem to live-up to its own promotions. I registered on the site in the evening and spent hours going through pictures to purchase for my business. After a lot of refining, a late meeting with business partners to review, and so on, I had my "Lightbox" (their shopping cart) ready to go. However by then is was very late so, knowing I had 24 hours to take advantage of their promotion, I opted to make my purchase in the morning. I also applied for a corporate account which their site says takes a couple days to process. I logged in to make my purchase before 2pm the following day. The special promotional rate was gone and the purchase price was quite a bit more, albeit for more credits. However I didn't want of need more credits--I just wanted the pictures I selected for now. I certainly would have come back for more later as we need more quality images on my company's website. I sent an email through the general email box and I was happy to get a prompt reply. I explained the situation but was told that the special only last for 24 hours from the time of sign-up. Within five minutes I responded back that I had indeed done so and could I make the purchase as they promoted on their website about 14 hours after leaving their site the evening before (and about 17 or 18 hours from the creation of my profile). I waited for a reply for several hours. I got nothing in return. It was clear that they were not going to honor their own promotion and further that their method of customer service in this case was simply to ignore my immediate response. There are other stock image websites. Use one that is reputable. As far as I can tell from my own experience, this business unfortunately isn't. read more

I called up regarding a billing issue and received nothing but attitude right from the start for the whole call. I don't know what the lady's problem was but it just got worse and worse the longer I spoke it her. When I asked what her problem was she said it was the "word I just said". I asked what that was and she wouldn't say. I really don't think I used profanity but if I did let it slip I had good reason. Besides the fact that she had attitude from the beginning of the call. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they weren't much better, just less of an attitude in their voice. They could care less about losing my business, even though I have been using them since 2011.
