Oh my goodness, how I love this store! It brings me such joy that real brick and mortar bookstores…read morestill exist, even though they are extremely few and far between. I grew up an avid reader, and as a pre-teen I remember begging my parents to take me to the local Barnes & Noble on a Saturday night. Looking back I'm sure they were so relieved that's where I wanted to hang out, so it makes sense now why they took me nearly every time. It's just a special place and feeling to be in a store surrounded by imagination and basically anything you wish to explore. Happy to learn that there is a surviving store in Cool Springs near where I work. I come here on my lunch break about once a month. Even if I don't buy, it's great to walk the aisles and see what is available. The staff is kind, encouraging of everyone to explore. They keep it very clean. Huge parking lot. You won't find me with any negative comments. Please stay open forever!

This Barnes and Noble anchors a shopping complex at the corner of Mallory Lane and Moores Lane, and…read moreis a classic location that has all the good stuff plus a great café that serves Starbucks! I have been here on more than one occasion solely for the café, but I do find myself wandering the store browsing for a good book from time to time. Most of my purchases here have been books for my nephews and a few corporate/career-based books. The store is always well stocked, well kept and clean. Service is beyond friendly, and they are always so helpful! I legit look lost each time I go in, so I ask for directions and they make sure I get to where I am going in the store. Overall, cool to still have Barnes & Noble brick and mortars around, especially this location!

Worst customer service ever!!! I subscribed over the phone and never had a paper delivered ever!…read more Even though I would call CS and they would say my carrier will be back out in 60-90 minutes they never showed. So I call to cancel. The rep was so harsh once she knew I was cancelling. Kept telling me to get the digital subscription; "then you will never miss a paper. Let's sign you up." NO! Cancel it. I kept telling her I can't clip coupons with digital so no, I want it cancelled. She was so cold and rude. Said I needed to give my gift card back. What gift card??? "The one you got at the kiosk." KIOSK? I subscribed over the phone. I didn't get a gift card or any special! She finally cancelled it and said there would be no charge. A week later, I have been charged. I called and told the next rep the story. First she proceeds to say it's a past due amount. I ask how can it be a past due amount when I subscribed for a week and never received a paper and then cancelled. Her story now changes and she says I'm being charged a fee to open an account. Are you serious? I was never informed of that!! I want a credit. "Sorry, we can't do that. Its a fee to open an account." Well honey, I opened an account to get newspapers delivered but your employee cannot seem to do his job and never delivered my papers!! So apparently I didn't have an account in the carrier's eyes. I ask the rep if I can speak to a supervisor. In a sarcastic tone I hear "yeah, sure" and she hangs up on me!!! I cannot stand the Tennessean's representatives. I've subscribed to them a few times in all my years of living here and have always been unhappy but now that's it. I'm done with them.
