Of all the professional photographers we have had Lauren was so patient and friendly to my 4 year old. Not many photographers understand that kids are kids and often get distracted or change their tempers quickly. Lauren was so kind to my daughter waiting on her even if she decided to throw a fit. Before our photo session Lauren called me several times to prepare. She sent me an idea of an outfit and I had the outfit handmade saving $60. Lauren paid so many compliments with how the outfit matched the picture she sent me of what she wanted my daughter to wear. Lauren also had a special necklace made for my daughter to wear in the pictures. It was so beautiful and matched the dress perfect. Lauren also bought a crown and painted it special to match my daughter's outfit. When we were deciding on a place for pictures, Lauren took a whole morning, drove out to my area clearly an hour from her, just to find the perfect place. She found a spot that I honestly didn't think was appealing. It was an old boarded bridge over a small creek. When Lauren got all her props and told Aurora what poses to make I was in so much shock to see how beautiful she made the environment come alive. If you would drive to this place you would never believe our photos were taken there. That is how much talent and creativity Lauren has. To see this place come alive through her lens and ideas was so cool. She danced around with my daughter played with her and even formed a good relationship with my daughter before the photos. I received my photos right away. I was amazed with how quick I got them. They are all so beautiful and I will forever have this memory captured. The color is gorgeous. I posted one of the many great pictures on my Facebook and before 24 hours got 100 "likes." My daughter to this day asks for Lauren and she even drew a special picture for her. I haven't mailed it yet but I will soon. If anyone ever wants to take family photos, wedding photos, and especially kid photos I highly recommend Lauren. I am so glad I was able to find her as her photos are beyond amazing and she's such a nice person to communicate with, even though it was just a mini session. I can only imagine the extra details and coordination she does for a full session. This year's session was $375 for 3 digital photos. Adding more digital were at an additional charge [of course]. Love that Santa was included! This year's holiday photo session took place outdoors in a Katy, wooded area. We were able to do a family session, kids session, and sessions with Santa. Santa was perfect! He was dressed in his finest red suit and had the perfect fluffy white beard. He intereacted with my boys as well, allowing them to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. Everyone was very patient with my boys and was able to get amazing photos. Though it was a "mini" session, I loved the multiple options she gave for us to do within that 20 min time frame. My sister had also booked a mini holiday session right after us and she was so reluctant to take photos of all of our 5 boys together ! [ I have 2 and my sister has 3]. Her communication throughout the whole thing was great! So responsive and had a quick and reasonable turn around time. She even asked for an special request of edits which she beautifully granted. I had a high slit dress that was a bit revealing and she was able to make it more modest. The photos speak for themselves. I highly recommend MJ for your photography needs. She has all the cute props, baby outfits, headbands, pillows, backdrops and wraps in 100 color schemes- literally hundreds! I was also able to bring some of my own baby outfits. My baby did get fussy very soon after starting the session and she was so sweet with her to calm her down. Her turn around time with the final photos was good too. She is very communicative also.
