My family (consisting of myself, husband, a 4-year old and 2-year old) live in Seattle, Washington but wanted to do our annual family photoshoot in Houston because we were going to be in town visiting family anyway. My kids are not the easiest to photograph lol. They typically hate taking pictures and it's so hard to get them to take directions, but Laura was super patient with them. My regular photographer usually STAYS watching the clock and doesn't go a minute over lol. So I highly recommend her for anyone that has young children and needs a family photographer. We also did a solo shoot for myself since I was also celebrating my 30th birthday and let me tell you, I also hate taking pictures (the kids get it from me). I always feel super awkward like I don't know what I'm doing but Laura made me feel so comfortable, gave great direction, even braved the cold with me for some impromptu outdoor shots she suggested, and my photos looked so fierce! And the BEST part, we got over 400 edited photos from her. Laura is an incredible photographer and incredible person! Back in March 2019, my wife and I had two wedding ceremonies (big Indian wedding and a smaller hipster wedding) since we have a large group of great friends not able to travel to the Indian wedding spot. We ranked 11 different photographers and found Laura's ability to adapt to different wedding ambiances and themes top notch. We wanted a lot of 'pop' since our wedding was really colorful, and Laura was perfect. Before the wedding, Laura called us before talking about pricing and logistics just to get to know us personally and our story. She was the only one that did that among photographers on our list and one of the few among all wedding vendors we booked. I think it really helped her get the right shots matching our personalities to the photos. Her pricing is excellent especially for the amount of work she puts in. Our engagement shoot was great. She planned it out perfectly to get the right scenery with the natural light. It was a long day, but she made sure we were energized with enough breaks and coffee. The day of the ceremonies, she and her team were extremely well coordinated with all of the vendors. They were super-efficient getting portraits in before and after without feeling rushed. I think most important of all is she and her team were a blast to work with! After the festivities, she sent us a small batch of photos immediately to share with the family and the big album about 2 months later which is quicker than we expected! We hired Laura for our Estes Park, CO destination wedding. We live in Houston, and even though there were plenty of wedding photographers available in Colorado, none of them captured the vibe, the liveliness, and the stunning use of natural light I saw in Laura's work. I knew I had to ask her to to be our wedding photographer. From the beginning, Laura took her time to get to know us as individuals and as a couple. Let me just start by saying Laura is one of the best photographers I have EVER worked with! Laura did our engagement photos and wedding photos in Nov 2009. She absolutely rocked! For the engagement photos, she was so patient with our camera awkwardness and really captured great moments that we constantly get compliments on whenever we have guests in our house.
