They cost about £18 for 2 prints, and a small nominal charge for additional prints. Although this may seem pricey, in terms of a US visa application it's worth covering all of your bases, making sure your pictures are taken to the correct requirements, and avoid having to re-apply or re-send documents you've spend hours pouring over. They are very familiar with the procedure and requirements, which is a total bonus. The staff are friendly and quick, and willing to fit appointment times around your schedule. The photographer himself was very chatty and showed me the pictures on the camera before we finished up. If they are able to make prints on the same day they will do so, and call you to let you know they are ready for pick-up. I've always had a good experience with Venart and will continue my loyal custom with them.

So this review is about both types of service. The photoshoot was a gift, and not something you do every day, so it has to be good, and boy it was! I was part of the family event that was being photographed so had to pose for some of them (not my favourite thing to do!) but I love the resulting photos. Because I originally hired Chris to carry out product photography, having seen his food photography work, I had no worries that the product photography was going to be great. It's better than that, it's outstanding. What was really fantastic though was that his portrait/family shots were just as good, even though they are totally different subjects and require a different skill and approach. Multiskilled, adaptable team of folk these. We went on to get a lot of copies of the family shots for other family members. It's the gift that keeps giving! On each day of the shoot, Chris and his team adopted an approach that was calm, professional and collaborative. They were professional, and kind - essential when photographing humans! I used Loxley recently for printing out the photos for Yelp's Gallery of Glasgow. While I did…read moreconsider using a cheaper option, like Costco, Loxley's customer service and great looking prints won out. I was recommended to them by a friend, and I found their customer service whenever I phoned really helpful. They have a great website and ordering system which is really easy to use. When I placed the orders, I did it through a program called Loxley ROES which is free to download, but I now see they offer online ordering which looks like it would be even simpler. Their options for delivery are really good as well - Royal Mail, courier or collection from them in Cumbernauld. I did have a slight hitch with some Royal Mail postage but that wasn't Loxley's fault. And when the first photos I ordered were too low resolution, they phoned to let me know rather than post out sub-standard photos. I'd definitely use them for all my photo printing needs in the future.

Having recently welcomed Harris into our lives I was keen to get professional photos to mark the start of family life. When I saw opening for Autumn weekend sessions at a great price I messaged Angela to secure a spot. Communication was prompt and answered all my queries. Nothing I hate more than when someone doesn't read my query properly and gives a half hearted answer. We agreed a date and I made a secure payment via bank transfer. Angela's communications were friendly and professional which built confidence for us. Her work really does speak for itself when you see the pics on her Facebook page. I especially love the fact that the images are yours to use once she's edited. In October, particularly in Scotland, the weather tends to be wet. Angela suggested venues/locations and also pointed out to consider weather. We eventually decided on the Winter Gardens in the People's Palace at Glasgow Green. It's indoors but with a beautiful backdrop for our first family photos. Angela arrived on time and we had a chat to get to know each other. She talked us through what we could do and also let us decide what we wanted. She was great with baby boy and we just felt so at ease with her. She came with a suitcase prop so that we could get shots of Harris on his own. She wasn't shy about getting into any angle or position so that she got the perfect shot. Her instructions were great and she got us to pose without it feeling too staged. To complicate matters we had also arranged to meet up with Harris' little cousins and aunt so that we could also spend the afternoon together. Angela was more than happy to incorporate them and took it in her stride. The session lasted about 2 hours and it just flew by. Her lovely manner and professionalism meant we got the images we wanted. She listened to us and worked with us to ensure we were happy. At the end of the session Angela set out a timescale for receiving the photos (3 weeks which is more than reasonable). She also asked permission to preview images on Facebook. I love the fact she didn't presume she could share and asked first. If you're looking for someone to capture those precious moments and little details then Grace Rose Photography is for you. Great value for money and such an enjoyable experience.
