I told my pcp soon after what I had told Diane and she took me seriously and ran blood work. Sure enough, I was right and got to an RE right after. This review is about both Whitman and Weymouth offices…read more I'm not sure what the bad reviews were about but South Shore Women's Health has been amazing and professional! Every single staff member who my husband and I encountered have been amazingly helpful, attentive, and professional. Check in was an easy process, the wait time was never longer than 5 mins in the actual lobby and 10 mins in the provider's office. It was confusing at first because I had chosen a doctor, but soon realized that they had many providers there so you don't actually get to see the OBGYN that you choose. You also don't see the same NP twice, but if you schedule your appointments wisely and request to see the same NP, they will accommodate you. The ultrasound techs were efficient and professional. I kind of assumed that they aren't allowed to answer any questions or tell you anything, so I remained quiet during the process. After the US, they quickly typed up their notes and that gets passed to the NP. Our NP, Diane, was also very good. She was really happy, but considering our situation (we had a miscarriage), you have to be right? She provided us options, explained and reexplained things thoroughly, and had a "let's move forward" approach. One suggestion that I would make is for patients to be proactive about asking questions, seeing records, and reading their notes. I don't think I requested to see the US or asked her to explain them and I regret not doing that. Because of the miscarriage, I had to have a D&C. After all we've been through, I was extremely frightened about the D&C procedures and called the nurse at SSWH several times. The nurses (especially Abby-I think?) were understanding, proactive, and were honest if they didn't know something. She immediately called Dr. Johnson for answers to my questions, and got back to me in minutes. She had other nurses follow up as well. The D&C was performed at South Shore Hospital and the staff there could not have been better! However, Dr. Johnson was by far the best. He had a crazy morning, and although delayed, when he got to us, he spent a lot of time talking about what happened, the procedure, and post-op. He reviewed everything with us thoroughly, discussed the risks, abated my fears, and ensured that all questions were answered. The procedure went fine of course and he took the time to check in with both my husband and me. It was just nice because he wasn't all business. He was kind, caring, and understanding. We decided to meet again when I do become pregnant! The procedure is not one that any future mothers would ever look to have done, but I am blessed to have the strong team from SSWH and SSH looking after me.

Dr Kristen Ratliff has been exceptional in her care and consistent check ins to make it more comfortable to me.. the talks I have with her can be so open.. so easy and my trust with this team on this review site I could not even tell you in words how truly grateful I am for there care not just going through motions but detail and looking at the situations and solving it right away. Christie the receptionist is so on top of her game to make your appointments convenient and work for you.. and every appointment is like the first.. your not a birthday or number your a person that they truly care about, Dr Kristen Ratliff I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking my life in your hands..

Because they are women, I believe they have a better innate knowledge of a woman's health issues and therefore are more empathetic. They are personable and seem to genuinely care about how I feel and my thoughts about what brought me there. They don't just see the surface, but look for any underlying contributors with an "all around" approach. The girls(s) at the front desk are very nice and accommodating and have always returned my calls or called me back when they said they would.

I saw Dr. William Griever, Kim, and also Karen, the two female doctors that also work in his office, and all three of them are very kind and personal. I was going there for 6 years, Dr. Griever delivered my daughter, and was also her pediatrician. I called his office many times with various sorts of questions, and even the not-so-important ones were always tended to with a quick phone call back. He has a very nice and patient secretary staff, and immaculately clean exam rooms and waiting area, although don't be surprised that the office itself is a bit on the small side, as it is on the top level of a plaza. Regardless, I highly recommend his office for great family medicine.

My favorite mentors are at BNHC Dental, and they often treat patients with so much attention, as if they are the only appointments the doctors have that day. Dr. Gabriel recommends the best treatment plans with the patients' interests as the priority and Dr. Gattereau performs root canals flawlessly. Dr. Chang is always smiling, and all docs leave patients feeling so welcomed and cared for. I wish I could give this dental clinic 6/5 stars as opposed to 5!
