As you probably know, ADHD meds are often amphetamines and in the right dose, it can work beautifully, but too much... and it's a nightmare. After accidentally double-dosing, I was up for 24 hours and was wrecked. I couldn't eat... didn't want to drink... I just catatonically binged watched TV for 24 hours. I was dehydrated and my stomach was in knots. Hydration always makes you feel better, but I just didn't have the desire/tolerance to drink anything. I went in that morning and the RN mixed a "cocktail" of some magnesium and other things. She started the IV and literally within seconds I could taste the concoction. It wasn't unpleasant, but just tasted like you had a vitamin in your mouth. Within minutes, my stomach ache went away and I felt so relaxed.
