So came here for dinner and got the shrimp scampi! Tasted just as good as it looked! Lots of shrimp, garlic, other stuff, etc. Excellent. Lots of other seafood choices, they seem to specialize in the mixed grill / seafood tower type dishes. It all looked good. There's a counter at the front where you can pick out your dinner. Reasonable prices for what you get, really good selection of wine by the glass. Good looking and friendly staff. Five stars!

We had originally booked the Damrak 213 location but had to cancel due to a flight delay. Determined to make the most of our short time before heading to Paris the next morning, I chose this location because it was close to the areas we wanted to explore after dinner -- and I'm so glad I did. After reading on their website that they keep tables available for walk-ins at most locations, we decided to try our luck. As soon as my best friend and I walked in, we were not disappointed. The ambiance felt right immediately -- warm, inviting, and full of good energy. There was little to no wait, and the fresh seafood display at the front looked incredible. Vanessa was our lovely server and truly a whole vibe throughout the evening. She, along with "Mr. Champion," gave us great suggestions on where to walk and explore next -- and we absolutely took their advice. I love a menu where you can order and split a little bit of everything with a friend, and every single dish was perfection. The shrimp croquettes, king prawns, asparagus, roasted carrots, and fish and chips (kibbeling) were all served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was run by a Black chef who was clearly putting in serious work and completely understanding the assignment. I wanted to personally commend him, but he was fully locked in and busy creating magic. Even the espresso martini stood out -- easily one of the best I've had. Great, relatable conversations, amazing food, and the evening ended on a sweet note with a complimentary lemon crème brûlée served with sparkles. This spot is truly a neighborhood gem. I'm so glad we chose this location -- it turned a rushed travel day into a memorable night dining with some true champions. We can't wait to return with more time to fully enjoy the experience.

This shared dining experience is very memorable!…read more From picking the fish to the side dishes, we were guided through the process. It's honestly a surprise from the moment we arrived, because there wasn't a set menu and we didn't know what to expect! The food came out quicker than expected. The seasoning of everything was on point. The fish was fresh and cooked to the right tenderness. My husband and I finished everything (like no bite left behind) in 90 minutes! (You can see how big the fish was in the photo!) I got to say on a side note that the seats are quite small and uncomfortable. I should have taken advantage of their coat area. I was out and about for 6 hours and bought a ton of stuff from museums and markets. There was not enough space for me to put my stuff at my seat at all. The final touch was the free ice cream cone at the end. Andddd I should have asked if I could kept the sardine... unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it here in the U.S.

You choose your seafood and they tell you how it will be served. The seafood is weighed and you're given a tally of your meal. You also choose a selection of sides to go with your dinner. Once you choose your seafood you go to the wine bar and choose your drinks. We chose a pasta side orecchiette with pesto sauce and curried cauliflower. For our main dish, we chose the seabreem. We started with scallops and calamari which were both delicious and our seabreem was perfectly cooked. It would be nice to have more than one option as to how our fish could be made but all in all everything was fresh and well prepared. Service came with a smile and you can't beat the novelty and ambiance!

Decent seafood restaurant situated right by the harbour with super fast service…read more I ordered the Vismix (€19.50), which was a platter of mixed fried seafood, including calamari, fish, mussels, and prawns. The seafood was good but somewhat standard quality. It came with some dipping sauces, which added some nice flavor. I came with a day tour group and it was clear they were catering to people from the tour by making sure the service was super fast - I got my food within literally a matter of a few minutes. The place is decorated in a traditional Dutch seafront town kind of vibe. It was busy when I went although I was able to get seated right away (and clearly service speed was not an issue as all). The staff are fairly friendly too. Overall, the main selling point for this place is the fast service speed, especially if you are here for a quick visit to Volendam as part of a tour. The food is also decent enough to warrant a visit.

I asked for water with our drinks and got immediate attitude. "Water comes with the wine." Ok, fair enough. Ask for a second glass of water, ugly face with a harrumph. Ask for the check, ugly face with more attitude. It's unfortunate. The atmosphere was noisy, and we were packed in like sardines. An absolute NON-favorite. And, oh yeah, the food? I'm a New Englander, so I'm going to say meh.
