Outstanding seafood! Easy to find in Amsterdam. Grilled King Prawns were awesome. Calamari and kibberling was great also. Service was very attentive. Bottled water (still/bubbly) Great flavors. Really enjoyed our meal.

This place had a lot of food reviews so we decided to try it...and didn't disappoint. They have a great menu and a selection of a la carte items to choose from. The fish fillet was just OK, and kinda wished we ordered the Mixed Grill instead. However, the mussels are Amazing! The place can get really busy so reservations are recommended. And we for great service from staff.

I always love coming here for the Fruits de Mer "The Seafood Bar." It is a tower of cold crustaceans and shellfish; mussels, cockles, razor clams, sturgeon shrimps, vongole (clams), periwinkles, prawns, crayfish, house salad, crab, and 2 oysters. The service is decent and great for dinner's with colleagues or loved one's.

We loved our dinner at The Seafood Bar. They had a good wine selection and really enjoyed the rosé we ordered with dinner. We had the local oysters, asparagus and The Mixed grill. Everything was amazing. We loved the grilled seafood platter. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Service was good. They are busy but still attentive. It is bigger than it looks. Definitely make a reservation though because it gets busy and fills up quickly. Lovely atmosphere with good energy.

This place is very popular and very nice and in a great location. It's very busy so make a reservation in advance any night of the week. I've been here a couple times now because I go to Amsterdam for work and this is pretty close to the hotel. It's maybe a little over the top for me but it is pretty good. As you might expect they serve pretty much all seafood so if you don't like fish you might want to look elsewhere. In general the food is really good in a classy environment. The service can be spotty. It's very popular and trendy and they can act accordingly. Prices are generally expensive as you can get decent food in Amsterdam for generally decent prices and this is definitely on the higher end. So all in all if you're visiting Amsterdam and want a nice meal this is a good place to go just make a reservation.

Like other Yelpers have mentioned, they are THE place for fresh seafood in Amsterdam. Elegant and chic interior and friendly service. They have 3 branches in Amsterdam, so it's likely you will be surround by your neighbor. Don't hesitate to give them a try.

Location just outside city center was fantastic. Appeared to be in a renovated bank. Reservations were honored and we were seated promptly. Wait staff was fantastic and made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was fresh, menu was full of wonderful options. Food presentation and flavors were first class. Overall a wonderful evening. Highly recommended.

Delish!! Our whole family loved this restaurant! Our fave dish was the cod filet but everything we ordered was amazing! And the service was excellent as well. Our server, Augustina, was delightful! We would highly recommend!

This was an amazing dinner option. The restaurant is cute and very clean. I love the open kitchen concept. Our waiter Brian (I think), was so helpful and nice. The food was very tasty and flavorful. We had an all around great experience. The menu has a good variety to please everyone. I will definitely be returning here and I recommend you give this place a try.

This restaurant came recommended by a local when we asked for a restaurant that served mussels. We made our reservation and decided to give it a try. It was very busy when we got there. In spite of this, we were immediately seated. Our waitress came to us and took our orders. Before we knew it, our plates started coming to us! Really quick service. I ordered the French style mussels with cream sauce. While it tasted good, I've had better. I will say that the mussels themselves were clearly very fresh. All my other friends seemed to enjoy what they picked. All together, Im happy we decided to give this place a try.

Getting towards the end of our trip and spending a few days in Amsterdam. Our first dinner stop was here at the SeafoodBar. It's a very nice spot, busy but a very attentive staff. We tried a few things, garlic butter shrimp was so good for an app. The oysters were a real hit at the table and I forgot to mention how great the drinks were. We had the cold seafood platter at the table along with the fish and chips and the salmon plate. All in all, very much worth the stop. There was a slight problem with the bill, I have to say, management was very apologetic and corrected it. They did a great job with all around service. It's a busy restaurant, get there with expectations to wait a bit but it's a nice place to enjoy a drink while you wait.

This shared dining experience is very memorable!…read more From picking the fish to the side dishes, we were guided through the process. It's honestly a surprise from the moment we arrived, because there wasn't a set menu and we didn't know what to expect! The food came out quicker than expected. The seasoning of everything was on point. The fish was fresh and cooked to the right tenderness. My husband and I finished everything (like no bite left behind) in 90 minutes! (You can see how big the fish was in the photo!) I got to say on a side note that the seats are quite small and uncomfortable. I should have taken advantage of their coat area. I was out and about for 6 hours and bought a ton of stuff from museums and markets. There was not enough space for me to put my stuff at my seat at all. The final touch was the free ice cream cone at the end. Andddd I should have asked if I could kept the sardine... unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it here in the U.S.

You choose your seafood and they tell you how it will be served. The seafood is weighed and you're given a tally of your meal. You also choose a selection of sides to go with your dinner. Once you choose your seafood you go to the wine bar and choose your drinks. We chose a pasta side orecchiette with pesto sauce and curried cauliflower. For our main dish, we chose the seabreem. We started with scallops and calamari which were both delicious and our seabreem was perfectly cooked. It would be nice to have more than one option as to how our fish could be made but all in all everything was fresh and well prepared. Service came with a smile and you can't beat the novelty and ambiance!

So came here for dinner and got the shrimp scampi! Tasted just as good as it looked! Lots of shrimp, garlic, other stuff, etc. Excellent. We had originally booked the Damrak 213 location but had to cancel due to a flight delay. Determined to make the most of our short time before heading to Paris the next morning, I chose this location because it was close to the areas we wanted to explore after dinner -- and I'm so glad I did. After reading on their website that they keep tables available for walk-ins at most locations, we decided to try our luck. As soon as my best friend and I walked in, we were not disappointed. The ambiance felt right immediately -- warm, inviting, and full of good energy. There was little to no wait, and the fresh seafood display at the front looked incredible. Vanessa was our lovely server and truly a whole vibe throughout the evening. She, along with "Mr. Champion," gave us great suggestions on where to walk and explore next -- and we absolutely took their advice. I love a menu where you can order and split a little bit of everything with a friend, and every single dish was perfection. The shrimp croquettes, king prawns, asparagus, roasted carrots, and fish and chips (kibbeling) were all served hot, fresh, and packed with flavor at a very reasonable price. The kitchen was run by a Black chef who was clearly putting in serious work and completely understanding the assignment. I wanted to personally commend him, but he was fully locked in and busy creating magic. Even the espresso martini stood out -- easily one of the best I've had. Great, relatable conversations, amazing food, and the evening ended on a sweet note with a complimentary lemon crème brûlée served with sparkles. This spot is truly a neighborhood gem. I'm so glad we chose this location -- it turned a rushed travel day into a memorable night dining with some true champions. We can't wait to return with more time to fully enjoy the experience.

Not only that, he said it was the time of year for fresh, great tasting herring. So after building up an appetite during our tour, we walked straight to Rob Wigboldus Vishandel. At the counter, I asked for a menu but the friendly older gentleman (possibly the owner) replied saying we probably wanted the herring sandwich, so we went with his suggestion. It's a very small place - we were lucky to grab a table while we waited. It didn't take long though, the sandwiches are very simply made: fresh herring, chopped onions, and pickles. That's it. I'm not going to lie, I was not expecting to really like this fishy sandwich, but when in Rome ... And guess what? It was delicious! Herring is naturally oily and mild-tasting! It was very inexpensive, too! I wish we had more time to go back while we were in town.

Not to our surprise, the next day we were both sick! Vomitting and diarrhea!
