There is a cobblestone path and a slight incline to navigate from Elfreth's Alley to Christ Church. It was all super easy considering all the walking we did that day. The tour ends just behind Independence Hall. He walked those who were interested over to the Liberty Bell Center from there. I think the biggest surprise for all of us was that it wasn't super crowded in Old City that day. It was the Friday before Labor Day. I'd gladly return again in September. It was a beautiful day!

We would not have had such an enjoyable and educational time walking around this part of this City without him leading the way. He shared with us that he is a retired University professor and Philadelphia native. He loves this city and it showed! We learned about the history of one of the oldest markets in the US (over 100 years old) and sampled some items along the way. We also saw street art and learned more about the history of the City, William Penn's plan for a "utopian" type society and the legendary "curse of William Penn." The Penn statue on top of City Hall used to be the highest point in Philadelphia until the 1980's when the mayor alllowed skyscrapers in. The legend goes that after that, all the Philly sports teams had a losing streak until a worker on one of the new tallest buildings added a mini statue of Penn to the top, then the teams started to win again. On our tour, we sampled... Sesame seed sprinkled fresh bread (with no preservatives) Italian cookie drizzled with chocolate. Aged Balsamic Vinegar, Fig Vinegar and Coconut flavored White Balsalmic Vinegar Special cheese (can't remember the name) coupled with spiced cashews Fresh (made today) Tortilla chips and fresh tomato salsa from a shop where the owners are from Central Mexico Mandarin orange from the produce stand Plus we got 10% off when we purchased additional items at the vendors we passed for being on the tour.

I didn't love or hate this. It was just okay…read more I purchased tickets for my mom as her birthday gift. Her birthday was in February and our Tea Around Town excursion was yesterday, March 7th. I paid for the upgraded Luxe tickets. The Luxe package includes 17 menu items instead of 9 and priority boarding. Regardless of which package you choose, you get a souvenir tumbler which is used to serve your teas in. The bus departed on time and the staff members serving and narrating were very kind. The woman who was narrating was also singing live. She had a beautiful voice. Since we were Luxe, we received an extra item which was a Refreshing Rose mocktail containing no alcohol. While it was tasty, it was served in a glass cup with ice. When the bus made a sharp turn, my cup slipped off the table and shattered on the ground. This wasn't anyone's fault but I feel that maybe a plastic cup would be better suited for a moving vehicle. I don't think anyone got hurt, but the glass fell right near the table next to ours and thankfully no one's feet were exposed. There weren't any napkins at the table so there was no way to keep items stable or wipe anything off. The Flower Show was also taking place which made for a challenging ride in some parts of center city, especially Chinatown. The bathroom door didn't have a proper locking mechanism. Another rider accidentally walked in on me when I was using the bathroom downstairs. Both the teas and treats served were fresh and just what you'd expect them to be. My favorite tier was the first one with the dessert items.

Since THEY cancelled we will expect our money to be returned. If we had cancelled, there would be no refund.A very poor experience for the driver and staff who brought us there......an experience we will not soon forget as we await our IMMEDIATE REFUND

Our host provided so much history in not only the background of the musical/artistry world but Philly as well. Facts, details and PEOPLE you never knew existed or was from the place of brotherly love! While he speaks you get to view a video of artist you grew up with and learned to love! So much information ANDDD he stops at places we wanted to visit while there too. The liberty bell, Rocky stairs and what should be historical areas around downtown! My guests were left confused since their bus broke down and they had to call another one. This led to my guests arriving late to our wedding. I only found out months after my wedding that this occurred as David Thomas did not notify me of the issue. After months of going back and forth with their CFO, they were not accommodating with a refund. If you are planning to use David Thomas for your wedding, my advice would be to go with another company. They are disorganized and do not handle issues appropriately.

I was recently selected as the chairperson for a trip to Washington, DC by our VFW post. Lucky…read moreme..... I have never booked a bus trip before. I have only ever gone on bus trips as a passenger with other groups. I didn't have a clue what to do so I just searched online and started calling places. I figured in my head, hey I get the cheapest price and the guys will be happy. The first couple companies I called were nice enough, and gave me prices, but certainly did not go out of their way to make me feel that comfortable or make this any easier on an old guy like me. Honestly, Werner Coach was the last place I called. I'm so glad I made that one last call to Werner! The woman who answered the phone transferred me to the sales manager, Lynsey. What a blessing! I apologized that I didn't really know what I was doing, but I needed a rate for a bunch of us guys to go to DC. She was so nice and knew exactly what questions to ask about what we wanted to do. Things the other companies didn't ask about rest stops, itinerary, she suggested places we could stop to eat and was just a joy. She was so accommodating even until the day before the trip when she called to confirm all the details. When our bus arrived earlier than expected I breathed a sigh of relief. The bus was clean, the AC worked, and it was comfortable. The driver pulled up, got out and introduced himself and shook my hand. His name was Jason. He went over the itinerary with me to make sure there were no last minute changes. Everyone loaded and we were on our way. Jason's driving was excellent. He was very cautious and safe. Even in Washington, DC. There was so much traffic and some of the streets are narrow and he handled it like a pro. Throughout the day he was on time and ready even when we were running late a few times. He pointed out sights to us as we drove by which was appreciated. We got home a little late due to traffic, but it was an awesome trip thanks to Werner. From the first call, to the time Jason dropped us off, they were first class. I am definitely recommending them to everyone I know!
