It was still very good. If I had to choose, my favorite was the Cold Brew Coffee. I love coffee ice cream, and this one felt like I was biting into a coffee in the best way. Attended the ice cream making class! Registered about a…read moremonth in advance as spaces book up so quickly. Tight parking beside the main building, but people move in and out quite frequently. We arrived early as the event requested, but the front doors were locked and we had to wait for a staff to come let us in. I do not recommend coming too early. This class was 10/10 good. Todd and Chaz were absolutely wonderful and so patient with us. First they give you real alcohol and tell you to help yourself to the beverage fridge. The welcome speech was short and sweet (as we were all just really excited to get to the ice cream part)! Then we were given strawberry ice cream and 3 sauces and 1 topping to mix and match and talk about textures and pairings. Then we headed straight to the attached kitchen and made our custom creations. You pair up and 1 person makes their 4 pints and then the other person makes theirs after. I love love that you can mix and match base flavors, syrups and pretty much unlimited toppings/mix-ins! After you make your creation, we get unlimited soft serve and can sample all the toppings and try some of the bases - I spent the time mixing a small sample of each base we didn't get to use. Class was well designed, but I do wish we had more opportunity to sample the toppings, sauces, and base flavors before creating our own. Base flavor is made with extract, tea, coffee, peanut butter, etc. but I did not find I had time to make small samples to find the perfect mix before my whole batch of ice cream was melting. Class is scheduled for 1.5hrs but we easily hit 1.75 and could have stayed longer, but they encouraged use to get our ice cream home into our own freezers. They did offer to hold our ice cream pints if we were not headed straight home which was surprising and very generous. Overall I can't rave enough about how fun this was. Many of us talked about how great this would be for birthday parties, families, dates, etc. No dairy free options at this time. Gluten restricted would be possible with the base, sauces, and some toppings as well. 100% recommend.

I had to go downtown from the Southside and oh no I'm on 99 Street and somehow turned into 89 Ave and got to the Millcreek Made By Marcus to try their seasonal vegan poached pear and brown sugar streusel flavour. Darn, just such bad luck. I'm devastated. Ok two days in a row at Made By Marcus is a lot. I'm not usually around their locations and I'm usually lucky if I get here once a month. But this flavour is delicious and being lactose intolerant I'm super at stoked they have a few options for me. And since the seasonal flavours change each month I better enjoy it while I can. They also have pints of their last month's seasonal flavours on for $6 and the vegan sour apple caramel sounded pretty good. That wasn't gonna survive in my car while I saw a show at The Winspear, so I'm getting a psychic premonition I may be back at Made By Marcus soon.
