Today, I had to ship a very expensive microscope camera and its accessories. Eugene at UPS store #419 helped me with that, including packaging everything properly. When the time came to pay, he even advised me to sign up for a UPS Get More card, which saved me 10%! I've been at this store multiple times, and every time -- including today -- Eugene has been kind, helpful, patient, and relaxed -- and relaxing! Buyer beware. This place is absolutely awful. I shipped a client's laptop through their service station and paid for extra protection. The item arrived damaged and now the owner/business is taking no ownership for their mistake. The item was not packaged properly clearly hence the damage, as well I was not offered insurance on the item - standard protocol for any UPS location, especially when the items are electronics or fragile. I have been trying to get this rectified for 10 days and the management/ownership team has been absolutely horrendous to deal with. The owner is trying to take away all responsibility from him and his team for their mistake. I am now going directly to UPS Head Office and preparing a bad faith lawsuit. I would not go anywhere near this location unless you are more than comfortable with your package arriving in an awful state as well as no ownership or integrity on their end if anything goes wrong aka they make the mistake and then it's on you. The manager is extremely rude and condescending. The owner is completely rude and condescending. I do large amounts of shipping for work purposes (upwards of 5 - 6 packages a week) and this is hands down the best worst shipping provider I have ever dealt with between western Canada. Genuinely pay more to avoid this place at all costs. It is not worth the risk. I have the messages back and forth from the owner speaking about his rights as an owner... how about taking ownership over your business and when you guys clearly make a mistake (Not 1 but 2) - not offering insurance and not packaging properly, you pay for the damages you've caused. Driver didn't even buzz my apartment when "attempting" to deliver, had to call 3 times to get them to send driver back. Driver gets here, buzzes my number and I let them in only for them to have someone else sign and take my package. I have no idea where or who they gave it to and now my package is missing. I would like to thank Paul at the UPS Store in Millwoods for taking care of a bunch of printing for me. He printed my business cards and connected with my designer to make sure he understood everything and it was going to be exactly what I expected. The speed, quality and price exceeded my expectations. Since then I have had him complete a few small printing projects for me as well as printing and folding brochures. I didn't even make it 2 steps in the door before the guy told me to get out of the store because I am returning a pressure washer and 2 drops came out the bottom (condensation I'm guessing) as I cleaned it all. It's impossible to get all water out of the pump that is broken which is why it's being returned. Very disappointed in this service. Very rude, I'll never be using this service again. read more
