This park has lots of grassy areas where you can have a nice picnic as well as an actual covered picnic area. There are swings, a jungle gym, a little tricycle area as well as play areas with structures for the kids to have fun and explore on. Parking is not an issue since it's literally in the middle of a neighborhood. Locals know about this park, but it is well hidden. There are lots of neigborhood children who play here but it's never over crowded which is always a plus.

Not that you'll find crazy rides but there's entertainment for kids with some rides, plus not to mention the lounging areas, the animals, and so much more. Came here walking from our hotel , you can catch a bus, and it was just beautiful. I highly recommend a visit. This can be an almost all day thing or just come for a few hours like we didn't.

We walked over to Skansen after the Vasa Museum. The weather was quite nice and sunny which was…read moreperfect to enjoy this outdoor museum. After entering we decided to walk the path up to the park instead of buying a ticket for the funicular. It took roughly 10 minutes on a slight incline. Skansen was huge and does take time to go from place to place. Initially we wandered from building to building and many were not staffed or only viewable from the outside. While it was interesting to read the posted signs it wasn't too interesting. At the Oktorp farmstead, we finally found the first staffed location and got to see and learn about dying of yarn. Here we also learned which buildings were staffed and from that point forward gave us a plan of how to tackle Skansen and made the visit much more enjoyable. We had a great conversation about politics in the People's House which was very appropriate and compared it against present day in both our countries. Many parallels. We learned more about typical farm life in the Skane Farmstead while stooping low inside the house and that led to the Delsbo Farmstead. Delsbo was quite the opposite as it was ornately decorated with detailed wall paintings paid for by the well to do family per the staff. I highly encourage anyone visiting to engage with the staff as they were very enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of the period or activities that went on in that particular farmstead, building, church, etc. We skipped seeing all the animals they kept towards the back of Skansen as well as the aquarium. Overall spent over 2 hours here and likely could've spent more if more buildings were staffed and open. Glad the weather held throughout our visit.

Showers, sauna, etc. are clean and always working. In a way it feels like this place is more for bouldering than lead or top roping, but you can do all three. Of course there is rope climbing: top-roping and lead climbing as well. Still, it's a nice gym with nice changing rooms with showers, a cafe, etc. One nice thing about this location is that the gym (ie where the weights and etc are located) is larger. It doesn't have a true water fountain, just a sink (if you can't tell, I'm grasping for informative information here). Its not the flagship location, but it's nice if you live closer to it and probably the community is a bit smaller so you might get to know everyone a little better. It's definitely a place I would recommend climbing. Get there before 17.00 on the weekdays for a cheaper day pass!

This review is for the kayak rental only, as I haven't tried the cafe yet…read more I've rented from them twice now, and had two fantastic experiences. I'm no kayak expert, but from my perspective, their kayaks are high quality, well-maintained, and in good condition. They provide everything you need for a great afternoon on the water - a dry bag to store your stuff, a life jacket, a paddle, a skirt for the kayak to keep your legs dry, and a laminated map to find your way around. The first time I rented, Richard was extraordinarily helpful and went above and beyond in helping us get started, going through the basics in paddling technique, and suggesting some routes out on the water. The second time I rented, a big group arrived around the same time as us, so Ida was a bit rushed in getting us started and less proactive in offering tips, but still made time to answer our questions. The scenery you can get to from this launch point is fantastic - you'll get a spectacular view of Stockholm from a very unique perspective, and the water is relatively calm. There is some big boat traffic, but it's no problem at all as long as you are a bit alert. If you decide to rent kayaks from Kafe Kajak - and you should! - I recommend bringing with you a bottle of water and a ziploc bag for your phone, so you can keep it handy and take some pictures without worrying about getting it wet.
