I didn't know what a lot of the stuff was, but found a few things I knew and a few things I wanted to try. Owner was very helpful, and easy to talk to about many topics (we had a long chat about the current situation.) Lots of dry goods, a big frozen section, fish, meat, some produce. A few household things. The most scotch bonnet peppers I've ever seen in one place. Prices are reasonable. Store is clean and organized. Handy location. I had been nearby before but never stopped, and I will be back now that I have seen it up close.

The building is quaint, and probably used to be a restaurant (anyone know what it was?) It's pretty plain, though, and you almost have to know it is here to find it. Plus, with no windows, you might assume it is closed. It is not. It is open, and alive. Walk in, and there are saris, bags of rice, etc. Further back are household goods, snacks, dry goods, and a cooler with veggies. There is a small butcher counter that just had a little goat when I was there. There are a couple of aisles of pots and serving trays, some quite fancy. All the spices you could need, spice mixes, you name it. A few British foods, as you might expect. Up front is a drink cooler, and since it was hot and I was on the way to work I grabbed a couple of those and some snacks. Prices were great, service was friendly. I will be back.

There is a wonderful selection of bulk spices, pans, woks, and all sorts of other cooking-related tools even down to large jugs of bubble tea tapioca pearls in jelly for $45. So with context in mind, the only real downside here is that in the back area there is almost not enough room to get a cart around. It is pretty packed to the brim with "stuff".

Sangam is an amazing place to start your exploration. They have an extensive selection of unique produce, home goods, beauty products, and more. I bought cashew juice, bitter melon, an amazing blanket, rose water, rose petal spread, fresh tamarind (very fresh), and multiple types of Achar. They have some beautiful and affordable area rugs that I can't stop thinking about, and I can't wait to go pick one up. They also have cases of toasted coconut water, which is better than ice cream if you ask me. Plan an hour to browse and expect to pick up half of your grocery needs and then some. ** Edit: By the time of posting, I went back and bought the rug. Cookies, chips, coffee and drinks line clean and accessible shelves alongside the spices and canned ingredients for a wide range of regional dishes. Finally the family business is super helpful folks from the region who patiently walked this first timer through all they offer.
