What stood out even more was how kind and considerate the staff was. I was there on crutches, and one of the employees even asked if I would like them to get a cart for me. It wasn't necessary, but it was such a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. My family and I really enjoyed our experience, and we're already planning when we can go back. It's always nice to shop somewhere where you feel welcomed and taken care of.

Her eyes grew wide as she asked, "why are you making Kim chee, you can buy it!". when I told her that I just becoming familiar with Korean food and knew that it was a staple in most Korean homes I wanted to learn to make it, she said "okay, let me help you get started " and she selected the powdered chili and then took me to the produce department to replace the vegetables in my cart with the correct products. This was the best thing ever about my shopping experiences at Saraga. Two weeks ago I shopped at Saraga for the last time. The aisles are packed with boxes and the floors and shelves are dirty, especially in the south Asian areas and near the Halal meat market. there is a frozen meat case with spices stacked on top that smells putrid. I'll bet there are meat products in there that date from the store's opening. The dry foods areas are in disarray, lack price tags etc. The only food shelves that are neat and clean and easy to use are in the Mexican aisle. The cooled shelves in the fresh produce section are filthy and clearly outdated merchandise is not removed or reduced in price. Finally, the parking lot has ruts, holes and trash thrown everywhere.

Glad something is filling the old Kroger slot, and that there is a grocery store in the area. It's medium-sized, like the other one, and you could do all your shopping here. Lots of produce, meat, dry goods, bakery area, etc. And all the expected Asian and Mexican sundries. Well, most of them. I could not find horchata mix, or the soap flakes we use to make our own detergent- both surprises. But they have lots of other good stuff. Snacks, ramen, oddball ingredients, tons of interesting frozen items. Want squid? 3 cases in the frozen aisle, plus dried squid snacks. I saw two cases of sweet corn in the frozen area, and will be back for those heirloom varieties. Good service, decent prices, big selection. It will be a more frequent stop, I'm sure. Not nearly as busy as Kroger was, or even the other Saraga, so social distancing wasn't an issue. Looks like there are two restaurants in there, Mexican and Somali/Italian, but neither were open when I visited at 9am.

I was researching and stumbled upon this Asian grocery store with a bakery and various vendors for hot foods. We stopped by on a Monday afternoon around 4 pm and there were a good variety of baked goods at Delight Four Bakery. I bought the following: pineapple bun, pineapple custard bun, coconut bun, cocktail bun, wife cake, walnut cookies, mochi with crushed peanuts, and paper-wrapped sponge cake. Everything held up well in our insulated cooler bags and made it safely through our +6 hour trip home. All of the bread, cake, and mochi were flavorful, soft, and tender. The cookies remained crisp. My favorite bun is the cocktail bun. It is a little different from the usual because the filling has a slight crunch to it. My one and only complaint is that the pineapple bun's crust was not thick enough. Otherwise, I would likely repeat every item and also venture out to try other items. We also browsed the grocery store and picked up a tin of mooncake because the local Chinese stores by our home do not carry that brand.

Most of the stuff is Vietnamese, and the super friendly owners seem to be, so if that is what you are looking for you are in luck. I didn't know what a lot of the stuff was, but found a few things I knew and a few things I wanted to try. Owner was very helpful, and easy to talk to about many topics (we had a long chat about the current situation.) Lots of dry goods, a big frozen section, fish, meat, some produce. A few household things. The most scotch bonnet peppers I've ever seen in one place. Prices are reasonable. Store is clean and organized. Handy location. I had been nearby before but never stopped, and I will be back now that I have seen it up close.

This place is tucked away across the street from Saraga; thanks to Mike G. for searching it out…read more The sign says Asian grocery, but it is very definitely a subcontinent specialist (the sign says Indian and Nepali, which makes sense with Namaste nearby.) The building is quaint, and probably used to be a restaurant (anyone know what it was?) It's pretty plain, though, and you almost have to know it is here to find it. Plus, with no windows, you might assume it is closed. It is not. It is open, and alive. Walk in, and there are saris, bags of rice, etc. Further back are household goods, snacks, dry goods, and a cooler with veggies. There is a small butcher counter that just had a little goat when I was there. There are a couple of aisles of pots and serving trays, some quite fancy. All the spices you could need, spice mixes, you name it. A few British foods, as you might expect. Up front is a drink cooler, and since it was hot and I was on the way to work I grabbed a couple of those and some snacks. Prices were great, service was friendly. I will be back.
