The head looked used but it still sounded good…read more I Just found the head cracked in the case and when straps were removed, I discovered a huge crack in the wood that I hadn't noticed because it was under a strap. It has always been well protected in a hard case and the crack may have happened from wood being wet when shipped from India. It is a nice drum but it needed an expensive repair that I did not expect so soon after purchase.

My first two tracks took me forever to put out--the last one alone taking about 6 months. I spent a whole lot of time figuring out the arrangement, mixing and tweaking a ton of details--most of which didn't matter in retrospect. So I started working with Lenny to optimize my workflow, get better at arrangements, and learn the skills required to see things through. In a little over 2 months, I was able to complete a 3-track EP which sounds much tighter in composition and overall arrangement.
