Terrible experience. I was sued by a debt collection agency. Of course, I didn't know what to do…read more So, I hired Mr. Jacobs because the reviews were good. They promised to go to court instead of me; so I was relieved, and I didn't appear in court. They charged me $350. Big Mistake! He appeared the first time to court, just to present a NOTICE OF APPEARANCE" (February 7th). Then, he showed up on February 25th, but, the judgment was continued for April. I was not served on April, but he was served. April 22nd. . . NO SHOW. Then, June 17th, he showed up, but judgement continued for July 1st. Then, July 1st . . . NO SHOW. Consequences: Entry of Default against me, for failing to be present as required by law. I was not served, Mr Jacobs was served. Default Final Judgment on July 23rd. On October, the plaintiff presented a motion for continuing writ of Garnishment against me. November 6th, I accidentally found out. I claimed exemption and requested hearing. . . Plaintiff and Mr Jacobs were served, but NO SHOW. Now, in December, Christmas time; my paycheck was garnished. Mr. Jacobs NEGLIGENCE caused me not being able to pay my rent and much less Christmas gifts. I have evidence of communications, and Mr. Jacobs was very disrespectful towards me. I'm 62 years old. DO NOT HIRE HIM!
