I would give zero stars if that were an option. I'm from Platteville. We bought a $2500 mattress from DBQ Mattress, and were sold on the promise that they would adjust it as many times as necessary until we were happy with it. In fact, one selling point was that one woman had needed 10 adjustments! So we bought it. It wasn't right for me so we had 3 adjustments. Still not right. I'm waking up in the middle of the night with my whole body sore, so I call for another adjustment. The store informs me that from now on, given the cost of travel to and from Platteville, there will be an $80 charge for each adjustment. Well. Where I come from, that's called reneging on a promise. I had no idea how many more $80 adjustments I would need, or if I would ever have a bed I could get a full night's sleep on. We never would have spent $2500--Twenty-five hundred dollars!--on a mattress without the promise of cost-free adjustment, and then that promise went out the window. I had to pay more than $500 for a sleep number bed in addition to the $2500 wasted on the DBQ mattress. Buyer beware. I was fooled by Dubuque Mattress. You judge whether you should be too. read more

I bought three new mattresses here this year and they are absolutely amazing. Delivery was punctual and they even helped carry my old bed to the guest room before they set up my new bed. I found out that Doug (the owner) and his team at Dubuque Mattress Factory have been sewing face masks non stop for the community. I don't sew so I haven't been able to make any for my kids and grandkids and there is nowhere to buy them. I emailed the store today, knowing they are closed on Sunday and I wasn't expecting to hear anything until Monday but Doug himself got back to me almost immediately, on a Sunday. He has been so delightful to talk to. He's totally dedicated to Dubuque and said "this is just what small communities do" and he's so happy to play his part. It really touched me. I said of all the times we have needed it, this is the most important time yet. Tomorrow I'm going to pick up 2 masks and send them off right away. I told Doug that my anxiety dropped a lot knowing I could get at least 2 masks right away. Thank you Doug and staff for carrying out such a vital mission, keeping people employed and for using your resources totally unrelated to manufacturing face masks, to create them and help every person who is lucky to receive one. read more
