Well here I am in Modena, Italy proudly and loudly raving about this 5 star product & facility. We made an appointment for the free factory tour and were greeted with espressos and a big smile by the one and only Roberto who was dressed immaculately and looked like a million Euros. We then received a historical introduction to the gorgeous showrooms featuring every model from 1936 onwards. Nostalgic indeed with beautifully maintained and polished machines. Then a guided ( in English) walk through the powertrain department and Engine Lab - their version of the Energizer bunny. The Engine Lab is home to the stellar Nettuno - the groundbreaking 6 cylinder twin turbo engine of the MC20. Next was the Paint-shop. Loved the innovation and how they are able to paint the plastic and keep the colors matched. We then got to see all their current models that are in Europe and also had Carte Blanche to the showroom for a test drive. I was a giddy kid who loved every second. My son and grandkids were with me and had more fun and loads of questions. The ultimate was getting behind the wheels of the fastest car ever made by Maserati , the MC12 Corsa. It has a V12 800 hp engine and a clocked high speed of 207 mph. I got up to 105 mph on the track and was very happy! Talk about power!! This is a must see and do for every sports car fan. Blessed to be the first to review the truly Magnificent Maserati Factory here in Modena.

Finding a good parking lot in Bologna ain't no easy feat. The old town is off limits for visitors,…read moreso you have to stay in the outer ring. With a little research we've found this parking lot here. There's another not far from here as well (Staveco), but has very mixed feedback. So we dropped our car here. It was a little after 10am and there were still a bunch of spaces empty. It's next to a little park, just off the main street. Costs a little over 2 Euros an hour. Fine for a city like this. Car felt safe here, lots are big enough for a mid-sized SUV. From here - the Porta Saragozza - the old town starts. And it's an easy 15-20' walk to the Piazza Maggiore. So location-wise it's a pretty good choice. We would park here again.
