It was a little off the beaten track, next to a small canal and a bridge. They had a seafood bolognese set menu with deep fried seafood and veggies for my secondi and a salad for 19€. Seemed a little in the cheap side to be good, the food came so fast that again I didn't think it would be good, but it was great. My kids had the gnocchi in truffle sauce and the carbonara and both were divine! Like I think about them and wish I could go back. My seafood was fresh and tender, the pasta was perfectly cooked and it all just had flavor! The best meal I've had in my trip so far. If you're in Venice, do yourself a favor and try out this very affordable very flavorful restaurant with the nice ambience and super helpful English speaking waiters. They'll make you feel like a million bucks

For the main course we had a pizza veneta (with salsiccia) and penne arrabiata. Then there was also a delicious sorbet, donated by the house! The food tasted delicious, also the wine, and the friendly staff contributed to a pleasant evening.

Now this place is special. It is located on a dead end road, right next to the beautiful river…read morePiave. I would suggest to park the car in the restaurant car park and to walk along the river for about 30 minutes. You will walk through viniards and get some spectecular views of the river (of course the sun will set too early for this in winter). Back at the restaurant you will be offered a (in our case) complimentary prosecco and the waiter will tell you the anti pasti, primi and secondi of the day. The anti pasti and primi are small enough to go for each of them and still have the main course (secondo). There are about three or four anti pasti and primi to choose from yet the secondi are all different kinds of steak (with a selection of side dises). The restaurant has it's own buchery and it seems that every night a heifer (cow that never gave birth) is slaughtered and the different parts of the heifer are showcased in a showcase you would find a the bucher's. We were patiently told what the caracteristics of each peace are. After choosing the kind of meat (the cut), you can choose how much of it you want. You can give them a weight and will later pay per 100 grams. We did not try a desert. The food was delicious, the admosphere romantic (candles on the table but also around the garden pattio, white sheets draped from the ceiling). The owner of the place seems to be a famous man. The restaurant is full of photos of him with 'famous' people. George Clooney is one of them, although the foto did not seem to be taken in the restaurant. You will pay about 45 euro for all 3 courses per person including 'coperto' =table fee, excluding desert and alcohol. Our waiter spoke only Italian and German.
