The six other attorney's I spoke with talked more about money than they talked about my case and how they could help me. This was different with Attorney Muhammad, she made sure she could help me first and then talked about what it would cost too help me. Even in that she was more reasonable then the other Attorney's I had spoken with.To give you a little bit of my circumstance. I was divorce and my ex-husband had recently retired and according to out divorce decree . I was entitled to a percentage of his pension, but because my previous divorce attorney didn't filed the proper paper work the pension fund was denying me payment. I also discovered that the wrong information was listed on the document as well. Everything that could go wrong with me receiving any money was happening. This was going too be a long shot to say the least. We even had other Corporate Attorney's from the pension fund telling Ms.Muhammad she would never prevail. She didn't let that stop her she went too work. She let me know every step of the way from beginning too end what too be prepared for. She's very personable and I love that about her. She was willing to work around my busy schedule to set up our initial conversation and meeting. As a single working mother, I appreciated that. From our first conversation I could tell she was very knowledgeable when dealing with child support and custody agreements. She took ample time listening to my concerns and telling me what options I had if I retained her services. I was definitely impressed. After agreeing to use her services, she quickly began to work on my case. I was glad that I knew in advance what to expect in court, since I had never been involved with the courts regarding an issue such as this. We are extremely disappointed with the representation we received from this law office. My…read moresignificant other is currently going through a difficult divorce and custody case. At first, everything seemed to be going smoothly with Peter assigned to the case. However, once things started to intensify, we were quickly made to feel like an afterthought. Despite being in a financially tight position, we trusted this firm--my S/O used his tax return and borrowed money from me to hire representation because the other party was constantly filing motions and avoiding mediation. When it came time for the temporary support hearing, Peter was unavailable due to a family emergency, and the attorney who filled in was completely unprepared. They failed to accurately present my S/O's income, failed to explain his parenting time, and failed to reference any of the documentation already submitted to the firm. Even worse, during that same hearing, we were advised to get a guardian ad litem and were then encouraged to drop the firm altogether in order to receive whatever was left of our retainer. The retainer was $5,000. In the end, they showed up to court twice, filed zero motions, and used every dollar--leaving us with no refund, no strategy, and a burdensome temporary support order to handle alone. We trusted them in good faith and ended up worse off than if we had filed everything ourselves with the help of the circuit clerk. This firm didn't just fail us--they left us more vulnerable than when we started.

Mr. Kezy responded that his office would set up a meeting to discuss the statement and he would adjust any incorrect charges. That call nor meeting ever happened. I explained to Mr. Kezy that I can't pay him 4k every ninety days, he then filled a motion to withdraw from my case. This has been Mark Kezy's history based on his Yelp Reviews. He will withdraw from representing his clients when they ask for guidance, communication, and his billing practices. I caution future clients to please read his Yelp and Avvvo Reviews, because I decided to replace my previous attorney with Mark Kezy based on the Google Reviews. This was a detrimental mistake

We were basically charged $5000. for 1 zoom meeting and 1 court appearance. I hope you are rich if you plan to hire Mr Kezy. ***UPDATE*** Mr. Kezy tried to withdraw from our case, however the judge didn't let him, so Mr Kezy showed up to court and did is best to NOT represent us and my fiance is now being held in contempt of court for Mr Kezy's lack of representation even thought I handed him physical PROOF of everything. Not sure how a man is supposed to pay $4000 a month in child support when he is disabled and only makes $1600 per month. Very unethical attorney, it's all about the money for him and not his clients.
