I am also so happy that Wheeler park welcomes everyone from all over NJ (and elsewhere). Coming from out of the county will cost you a bit more, but not much. If you live outside of Union County it is $4.00 for kids ($2.00 in county) and $6.00 for adults ($3.00 in county). This splash pad has every water feature a kid could ever need - from bigger twisty water slides, to a small dragon water slide. Also, water guns that you can shoot each other with, a pirate boat, water shooting up from the ground, and much more. My kids spent a little over 2 hours here and had an absolute blast. We've been here about 3 times and it never disappoints. Just be sure to bring some sort of shade covering. There isn't much cover at the splash pad so we usually bring our small beach tent with us. There is also a dry playground in the splash pad gated area where kids can play too. They have staff who help keep the kids safe and to make sure everyone goes down the water slides safe and sound. I highly recommend Wheeler Spray Park on a hot summer day.

The only unfortunate thing is that there's one wall, so two sides to play. It'll take a while to get a lot of games in with just two walls :( and there were a lot of gnat-like bugs flying around, no mosquitoes though so bring bug spray! Other than that, the courts are great. The place is kept clean. They're surrounded by an oval-shaped fence so the ball isn't hard to retrieve once you hit it out. It'll eventually come back to you lol. The wall is in good condition; no cracks on it or the floors. Lines are clear. Definitely one of the best places to play on Staten Island.

There's a nice circle of smooth fresh pavement that can be used to roller skate, run, walk or scooter for the kids. Bathrooms are not open yet, it appears that it is still a work in progress. There is one porta poty and the few times I have visited it was decent if you had to go. Please don't mess this park up people. It's beautiful. Unfortunately last time I was there, some disrespectful person did graffiti on the ground. This is a nice escape from busy city life tucked away in the neighborhood.

Every time I called or spoke to someone, they were so kind, willing to answer every question I had and assured me that everything would be perfect. They were right. The space for the carousel is for 50 people because that is how many chairs they have available. We had over 50 people there and you never felt crammed or squashed. There was SO much space. We had entertainers come and they had room to set up and put on their shows as well. They park provides 6 rectangular tables for guests to sit at as well as 3 other tables that could be used to food, gifts, favors..etc. The carousel operator ( I wish I would have remembered her name) was amazing- she was so kind and attentive and even gave the baby a t shirt! The staff working at the concession was also so helpful in letting us unload the food and drinks prior to the party start time. A special thank you to Emily who really went above and beyond to make sure everything went right. The weather was perfect too and it helps that the entire carousel section is covered so even if its hot outside, it was nice and shaded. Our guests were raving about this party for many days afterwards. We even had many native Staten Islanders who had come there for the first time. They will definitely be returning. I want to have every party there from now on. Thank you again to the staff, Do not hesitate to throw a party here because you well get your moneys worth and the experience will surely be a positive one.

You can get three miles done easy and it's an excellent workout for your body. Imagine doing three miles a day for a month! You'd be in better shape than you were just sitting in front of your computer making excuses for yourself. Go have fun and even meet some nice people too.
