My 2012 Easter holiday included a nice workout of three and half hours--continuously. McKinley Park is well equipped for a public park with public outdoor basketball and four tennis courts including a kid-friendly playground. The adjoining park, Father Kennedy Monsignor Sweeney Park are where the basketball and tennis courts lie. Facilities exist, like most public places, do not expect any amenities. I recommend bring lots of moist towelette wipes or hand towels during play by play time.

Been going to this park since I moved into this neighborhood 3 years ago. I chose this park over the one located on 68th ft hamilton pkwy mainly because this park is so clean conpared to the other one! This park has a huge grass area, great for picnics. Playground area with slides and swings. Sprinkler area, basketball court, gym area, did i mention public bathroom? 68th does not have a bathroom at the moment. Aside from the grass areas, theres pathways, great for jogging or a stroll with kids or dogs. Has a good amount of trees for shades.

One of the cleanest and bigger parks in the area. Half of the park consists nice grass area for picnics, big playground with a simple sprinkler area for the kids, a few hoops for the older ones, and a nice little workout corner. There are also restrooms which are very unappealing but at least there is one, most parks don't even have one!

I love this park it's so peaceful to come sit on a bench

'An urban oasis' first comes to mind when I think about our first visit to Prospect Park. The…read moreoverall experience was certainly positive, with some fine points. As a visitor to the city, finding parking on a weekday afternoon was near impossible, until it became possible after what felt like 25 minutes of searching for a spot. The park is truly sprawling and there are many places to explore, including pavilions, bridges, falls, a pond, a creek, and endless paved trails. We also couldn't help but notice that the park overall may not have been maintained consistently, based on the extensive weeds in fountains, for instance. We saw at least two cafes that had pastries, sandwiches, and beverages on their menu that looked good enough to make us think we'd definitely go there if we lived locally. All in all, I'm grateful for this space being available for locals and visitors to enjoy, and hope it is maintained and stays open for many more years.

Lots of families, etc. Still, it can be an enjoyable time. I do prefer weekday visits myself. The walking/bike paths are a great way to see the park in its entirety. Plenty of green space for a picnic, playing frisbee, etc. Playground and splash pads as well. Of course, I can't forget the lake with all of the ducks splashing about. It's really a wonderful way to spend a day in Brooklyn, getting away from it all.
