The previous company had misplaced pieces if the woodwork, left globs of plaster and paint splattered everywhere and did "repairs" that looked ridiculous and were not completed. Bryan's crew came in as scheduled, replaced the flooring, repainted what had been done poorly and made repairs that looked as though they had always been part of the house. They do wonderful work! Brian is very professional and carefully explains every part of the job to be done. We are already having them come back to complete other work on the house. They are simply the best!

Here are the specific issues with the finished work: Poor Wall Coverage: There are visible roller marks across the walls. It looks like a single, hasty coat was applied rather than a proper, thorough finish. Neglected Baseboards: The baseboards were inexplicably painted with a clear, colorless paint. The inexperienced painters did not realize they were using a non colorless paint and continued to paint the trim with it. After getting the correct paint the trim has highly visible drip marks, adding to the rushed appearance. Overlooked Prep Work: The bedroom ceiling still has visible cracks that were completely overlooked and left unaddressed. What is most disappointing is the lack of quality control. The job was deemed "complete" and payment was requested by the project manager who verified that the work was done to a professional standard, which it wasn't. I expected much better craftsmanship and attention to detail for a professional painting service. I will not be using this company again or recommending them to others.

I was promised by the Manager, that he would send someone out in fall to put down sod in the area in my lawn which were damaged by their workers washing their equipment. No one has shown up and the damage still exists, I guess I will have to get it done in spring and beat the cost. Again no need to reiterate, integrity of a company goes a long way....

I interviewed several drywallers, painters, and contractors before choosing EC Painting & Home Maintenance. Efrain's verbal communication and English is EXCELLENT which was very important to me when choosing a contractor to make sure everything went smoothly. I knew my project had unique challenges--unlevel floors, walls and doorways that weren't square or plumb, nail pops, and large settling cracks from a 49+ year-old building. I was very concerned no matter what I did things would never look "straight," but Efrain worked with me diligently to get things "picture perfect" so that the crooked walls and floors disappeared and became invisible to the naked eye when finished. From the start, Efrain listened carefully, answered all my detailed (often technical) questions, and worked with me to find the best approach--for example, reframing bifold doors so they would look straight and close properly when one side of the floor was nearly 2" lower than the other. I know I'm not the easiest customer since I like to understand exactly how things will be done, but Efrain was patient, explained everything clearly, and was flexible as we figured out solutions along the way. They were very clean and efficient and very easy to work with. Since things were moving so quickly we also added on a room in our basement, and they were able to get that done for us as well. They worked straight through 3 weeks, and didn't come one day and disappear for a couple days like some contractors do. Overall their work is great, very easy to work with, they were very clean and efficient and couldn't ask for a better experience.
