It's a good place to check out some art, or take in a language class. The facilities here were built in the in the 1960's during Hemisfair. The cultures and histories of Texas and Mexico are intertwined, and this is a good place to celebrate this common heritage. The areas around the UNAM have cool pieces of art that makes you think, and usually have something to do with Mexico. There's a cool area to check out a concert or to hear a lecture with comfortable seats and good acoustics. The people at UNAM are always friendly, and they do a lot of great work around SA. They keep the arts scene going, and have lots of beautiful and striking sculptures from Mexico around their building at Hemisfair. Forget it if your laptop decides to mess up you can't even continue on your mobile phone. I'm a stay at home mom and still could not keep up. I feel bad for the ones that have to attend online class and work. Did I mention the tuition cost to attend. Not worth the price! Yea all I can say is do your research before attending Southern Careers Institute. On a good note the staff was nice to me.
