I've heard it does get realllllly busy during the daytime though. The RN & Cary, the PA, were both GREAT! They provided caring and attentive service and were speedy when it came to getting the necessary supplies and prepping for stitches! Getting the stitches weren't fun but Cary talked me through everything so I knew what was going on the whole time and chatted to keep me distracted. This place isn't super close to me, so I will probably try to find somewhere a bit closer for urgent/walk-in care, but overall I would definitely recommend this place!

However, our neighbors had told us as of recent your location was worthless. I am 83, my husband is 73. Spring and fall we have respiratory illnesses. I have bronchitis and laryngitis for three days. I still have it. He has a severe sinus infection and excessive coughing for four days. The "so called doctor on staff," did not introduce himself, but the prescription bottle says J. Manning. He did not touch my me, stethoscope or anything. I know my body and know what our regular Mercy doctor prescribes, he would do nothing. He told me to take NyQuil. Good advice for someone who has diabetes and high blood pressure. He prescribed benzonatate for my husband. It hasn't helped the coughing. You charged us $65 a piece, and didn't even touch my me or offer a medicine. Please refund our $130 based on total lack of care, professionalism, concern, nor diagnosis. He did read his mercy screen from chair. We have been patients of Mercy for over 30 years and I have always given stellar ratings. But Dr Manning needs to go or be sent to your worst competitor. Care was adequate but the communication was absolutely awful…read more I have two major issues. 1) Appointments and availability. I live 2 hours from the facility and had to have major surgery. They rescheduled my appointments twice. Both times I had to change my work schedule to accommodate them. Then when I had to change an appointment I was sent a letter in the mail chastising me and warning me against changing appointments. (We might have to refuse you service if this continues.) It took 6 months to get in and get the surgery done. 2) Billing. Before my surgery I was called by the billing department and asked if I was going to pay before the surgery or after. Since I wasn't sure how much insurance was going to pay I asked if I could set up a monthly payment plan. I was told that wouldn't be a problem. After making payments for 5 months I was put on collections. I was stunned. I called and asked what was going on. "We have no record of a call to you, we don't set-up payment plans before service." They had no record of any calls about a payment plan and had no idea what I was talking about. And since I'm already on collections I would need to make a large payment to be allowed to get a payment plan. Also, the payment plan would be auto deduct out of my bank account. (only option). I am not trusting them with my account info after seeing how they operate.

In fact, the gentleman nurse I saw that day was very professional, kind, and personable. My one star review has nothing to do with the office person, the nurse, or the facility. It has to do with the PA I saw; Jennifer. I went in knowing that I tested positive to Covid that morning. Two days earlier, my husband went in to Access also knowing he tested positive for a Covid. He saw a different Pa. His person prescribed Paxlovid. When he took the med, he quickly showed signs of improvement. Both of us are over 60 and both of us overweight. Here is what my PA said "no, I will not prescribe Paxlovid. I think you will be just fine without it. It's not even fully approved by the FDA. It's emergency use only. And I don't think you need it". Ps: Jennifer, read recent approvals by the FDA. You are incorrect on that. What I would like Jennifer to know is that she doesn't know me at all. When I get a simple cold, it almost always turns into bronchitis. In fact, by that afternoon, my oxygen was in the upper 80's. Covid was wasting no time attacking my lungs. I did not give up and finally was able to reach a PA at my doctor's office. She said she thought I'd definitely respond well with Paxlovid and prescribed it. Three different medical personnel responded the same when I mentioned Jennifer saying no to Paxlovid. Their response, "why". I feel horrible for anyone going to Access Medical and receiving care for Covid from Jennifer. Save your money. Try elsewhere. And a final note is that as soon as I started a Paxlovid, there was a very clear difference. I still had the Covid symptoms but the breathing in particular improved. It was scary how fast Covid attacked my lungs. I'm sure Jennifer is a great PA in many ways, but my suggestion would be to get off her high horse and allow people to be helped by an FDA approved medication!
