The one thing that absolutely enrages me, is that there is always some loophole as to why these banks can charge you $33-$99 in overdraft fees EVEN THOUGH the reason the account was overdrawn was due to the current balance displaying the incorrect/ not updated amount. Transactions on their debit card will pend for days. Any kind of membership, subscription, or payment plan will come off the card even if you don't have the funds. I've been put almost -$200 by this bank when bills came out, I had the money but they didn't approve the transactions within 48 hours and I spent my current balance on food to then be notified that money was supposed to go to pending transactions. My other debit card does not do this. It updates on the same day and my current balance always takes into account the pending transactions. First National DOES NOT.

I just found out that they don't apply your payments to the highest interest rate you carry…read more I have a balance transfer that I got a lifetime 6.99% rate and I recently made a few purchases at 24.49%. All my other cards apply payments to the interest first, then the balance accruing the highest interest rate, then the lowest interest rate. FNBO does interest, lowest rate THEN highest rate. They will be milking me for that 24.49% for the next 2 years. Don't use them because they have SHADY practices!!

Every time I do, there is a short line that moves quickly. The customer service is always great, they are always able to fulfill every request! I often call in advance, to make sure I can get what I need, and it is easy to get a hold of a representative over the phone as well. The inside of this location is nice and quiet, and professional. There are bathrooms, which are kept clean. Overall, I've had a great experience banking here, and have you even found the best rate for my mortgage a few years ago! Highly recommend banking with NFCU.

We were asked to make an appointment to open our account - that kind of puzzled me but I now know that's part of the bank's personal attention. Jordan explained that ensured we would have a relaxed opportunity to get to learn about each other without interruption. I was expecting to spend about ten minutes to open an account - it was closer to an hour but we were in NO rush to leave! It was just an amazing introduction to a local bank and personal attention neither of us have seen in a long, long time. Beautiful offices and a very welcoming lobby with refreshments while there. We started an account just to have someplace in Omaha to turn in our change, but I expect we're going to be shifting more and more of our banking needs to Access. Already recommending it to family to come here!

Horrible policies…read more Strike one I was signed up for paperless statements, but they kept sending me paper statements, when I inquired about why they said there was some problem with them Emailing me, however my email address is perfectly working fine. So I couldn't stop the paper statements from coming. Strike two - when I didn't use my credit card with them for a few months they lowered my credit limit from $8000-$500 making it completely unusable. I'm glad I just took the sign up bonus and didn't use the card much and have now closed my account with them. Doesn't sound like they know how to do business.
